Subject: Neat video on Games Workshop's operations
Has the tone of propaganda about it, but it's still quite interesting to see what all the mould machines 'n' such look like, as well as all the stuff at GW Nottingham. I'd never quite been able to visualise the manufacturing process before.
That was utterly fascinating. Thanks for posting it.
I'd love to see more of models as they are being sculpted, and how they make Finecast, and maybe some more art in development. Even more of the lighting setups on the dioramas.

Like the multiple references to quality throughout the video- so that would explain the FC issues then...
Definitley looks like an investors video, but really cool to see the brief overview on their manufacturing processes, they've got a huge workforce - might explain the prices
Love the Imperial Eagle on their HQ - the huge Marine statue is also excellent, there's one standing over the entrance to the Bluewater (Kent) store - very imposing...
They are, unfortunately for you Luna age is not the only definition of child ...I'm definitely in their bracket, as I enjoy the games I play. BTW, for all the finecast haters that video is definitely pre finecast, but you knew that already...
I wish I could get payed to play with Toys all day. Coming from a Graphic Design background and BUsiness as well, I thought it was an awesome video, although seeing the model come out completely put together made me wish sometimes...

As an Industrial Engineer, I can't help but feel that there is something about their production and distribution process that is horribly inefficient and costing them (and therefore us) millions of dollars in profit... what, i cant say...

It's propably more investing millions of dollars into a high volume manufacturing facility and then turning everything into a limited, expensive restricted product line.

GW isnt even subtle about it.
What would be wrong with targeting children? Hasbro's worth 4 billion dollars based on that.

Why can't you say? I'm certainly curious and have no idea what you mean. It seems less automated than I would have expected though.
