Hey all, so I'm planning on attending Salute this year (have my ticket already in hand...) and been looking to see if there any good show deals, so far I've found a grand total of one... From Hasslefree Miniatures (who I'm planning on spending some cash with). Must admit I haven't searched much further, but if anyone else knows of deals, post them here (oh and let us know if you're attending - maybe we can get a dakka meet and greet at the nearest refreshment stand (alcoholic of course...) ;
This year we can do the Salute promotion in two ways. Over the years it has bothered us that customers who physically arent able to get to Salute because of its location, finances, work constraints etc can't benefit from the extra goodies that attending customers have.
Those who are attending:
Pre-orders. From Monday 5th March the following code will be valid on the website until Monday 16th April 2012. SALUTEPREORDER This code can ONLY be used if you plan on attending the show and will collect your pre-packed order there. It gives you free shipping (obviously as you are collecting it) on any value of order. If you try to 'do a sneaky' we reserve the right to slap on 'cheeky tax' and charge you shipping costs! Orders over £35 (excluding VAT) £42 including VAT will receive a free copy of the metal 'Statue of Liberty' figure. plus when you collect your order at the show you will have a choice of 2 free sticker/decal sheets from a selection
REMEMBER: We have a release on 26th March including the new Felicity, Hayden and a few other bits and bobs which you can include in this timeframe!
At the show We will only have limited stocks of the metal 'Statue of Liberty' figure available for sale. We will have a promotion at the show but it hasnt been finalised yet. Casting issues mean it is unviable for us to put her into general metal production (the spikes on her headdress rip the mould) .The quantity has been estimated based upon previous Salute Sales figures and also volume of website orders during promotions.
Those who cant attend:
Sorry, we will miss you. Maybe you can come along another year. To cheer you up we have the following deal.
Enter the code MAKEMEHAPPYSALLY at checkout from Thursday 19th April 2012 to Monday 23rd April 2012 and get 10% off of your order value (before tax and shipping) plus a free copy of the metal 'Statue of Liberty' in your order on all orders over £35 (excluding VAT) and a mystery additional item.
The metal 'Statue of Liberty' figue is only going to be available for either Salute pre-orders, the Salute Website promotion or to buy at the show. She will be available as a general release figure in resin. On July 17th (my birthday) we will be releasing the conversion of this figure depicting me as Britannia.
Enjoy! Any questions or if I have missed something out then just let me know!
Looks like there will be a pretty cool mini in the SALUTE goodie bag - a Mayan holding aloft a dismembered head...
Plus there's a chance to win one of 250 KR Backpacks
KR Multicase at Salute 2012
KR Multicase are pleased to confirm another great reason to attend this year's Salute.
KR will be giving away 250 of the versatile KR Backpack1 or Backpack2 for transporting your armies safely. There will be 250 "golden tickets" randomly inserted into the Salute goody bags, if you find one then go to KR stand (TK 02) and pick up your free Backpack.
See the KR website for more details. Look after your figures safely with KR - soft foam for figures, hard cases for soft foam!

Don't question it. Just enjoy your last few days of freedom before the little one arrives. Congratulations to you and your wife.
notprop wrote:Not really an offer but Forgeworld have confirmed their attendance this presumably might mean their special show minitures being available.
Yeah, the website confirmed that the Enforcer with CyberHound was their 'Event Only' miniature, which means it's likely to be available at the FW stand as well...

Eureka Miniatures will be travelling all the way from Australia to attend and trade at Salute 2012 in London on April 21st
Salute will mark the official launch of several new ranges and additions to some old favourites, and now is the time to start thinking about pre-orders if you want to collect any of Eureka’s miniatures at the show. This will guarantee you get everything you want (Eureka can only transport limited quantities of stock to the UK and some items are bound to sell out fast) and the big bonus is you will AVOID all postage charges.
However – be warned – Eureka needs your pre-orders by the 10th April so they have time to get everything out to the UK in time for the show.
To kick things off Salute 2012 will mark the launch of the new AB Figures Waterloo 1815 range (Exclusive to Eureka and their representatives). Tony Barton’s superb range of 15/18mm Napoleonic miniatures is about to get even better. Tony Barton has been steadily working away on British in Belgic shakos, British Dragoons, Household Cavalry, Dutch-Belgians and many more since the middle of last year. Here are some details, and you can start pre-ordering these figures right NOW – for collection at Salute.
You can place your Salute pre-order for any of the above coded miniatures by going to the Eureka Miniatures website (www.eurekamin.com.au) and look for the appropriate Salute announcement and updates under “News & Events” on the left hand side of the home page. There you will find the links to the pre-order pages – or to take you straight to the pre-order page, simply go to http://eurekamin.com.au/index.php?cPath=1_2_14_801&sort=3a
Remember – Salute orders need to be submitted to Eureka by the 10th April please – at the latest.
This year we will be debuting the new additions to our 6mm buildings/terrain range, which are suitable for Epic 40K, Graviton, Future War Commander, Battle Tech and Mech Warrior. We will also be bringing along with us, as usual, a load of bargain miniatures and paint from several manufacturers, both new and second hand. If you want to sell or swap any of your miniatures or games to finance your Salute expenditure, come over and see us.
If you don’t want your free Salute 2012 miniature we would like a couple, call over and we will swap your figure for dice or figure bases
Brigade Models have a new page on their website with information on their new releases for Salute 2012. If you want to know what the new shinys are, you're best going to the page at http://www.brigademodels.co.uk/Salute Releases.html , which will be updated as the show . However, their general info bears repeating...
Show orders Orders to be collected at the show are always welcome, please e-mail us with your requirements and we'll have your items ready and waiting on the day. Orders for over £50 will get a 10% discount if you pay in cash on the day, or you can choose to pay in advance if you prefer - we'll send you an invoice which you can pay with either PayPal or a credit card.
Shapeways Items We have an ever-increasing number of 3D models on our Shapeways Store which are printed to order - we don't generally hold any stock. However, if you want to avoid postage costs, we are taking advance orders on these models - just e-mail us a list of your requirements. We will then order these from Shapeways, and you can collect them on the day. Because of the lead-time on Shapeways production, we must have any orders by the end of Sunday April 1st at the latest. You can either pay in advance or on the day - but please note that we can't offer any discount on Shapeways items. You will be able to see many of our Shapeways creations on the day at the Maidstone Wargames Society Pegasus Bridge game.
Credit Cards Time for a quick reminder about our credit card policy. Last year we decided to cancel our credit card machine as it was no longer paying its way - the fees we had to pay for four shows a year meant that it cost almost as much to have the facility as we took in card sales ! We do continue to take card payments, which we then process after the show via our PayPal account. We'll take your card details (we will also need the cardholder's address) and explain exactly how this works on the day. However, we would prefer cash or cheques instead if at all possible. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO TAKE NON-UK CARDS - sorry.
Salute Deals We are running several exciting and generous deals at Salute but please note that these are only available at Salute, this is very much a show special only.
Victrix single boxes £17.00 each Victrix 3 box deal £48.00 (£16 per box) Victrix 5 box deal £75.00 (£15 per box) Victrix 7 box deal £98.00 (£14 per box) Victrix 10 box deal £130.00 (£13 per box) Victrix Metal Deals We will be carrying our full range of metals at Salute and are delighted to offer our customers the offer of “Buy 4 packs get 1 free”.
Victrix Single Frames For the first time Victrix are offering their customers the opportunity to buy single frames from our plastic figure ranges. These are only available direct from Victrix and will not be on offer to any of our trade customers. Therefore, if you want single frames you will have to come direct to Victrix.
Pre Orders We will have limited space at Salute and will not be able to carry unlimited quatities of stock so we would encourage customers to place pre orders either by phone, e mail or via our shopping cart.
Happy shopping ! R
PS, have asked a mod to move this to the N&R forum...

Yeah, the website confirmed that the Enforcer with CyberHound was their 'Event Only' miniature, which means it's likely to be available at the FW stand as well...
Indeed, I also checked that and their Events section confirms their availability, a must have me thinks. I was going to preorder something to collect so I could make sure I got one but I'm not sure you can do that with the show miniature?
Btw - Spanky new avatar there Ian, will you be attending the show like this?

Check out my gallery here Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!
I'm going to be shopping 15mm's, checking Gruntz demos and hanging on frothers tables and meeting friends... Its my first salute so lots of things to do and lots of deals to check out
The Forgeworld enforcer's going to be available? damn, there's going to be SUCH a scrum for that :(
Most of the offers are for Historicals, which is kind of a shame for me, but I'll be hoping for a KR golden ticket, if only so I have a way to carry back all the minis!

Aww, you're having your Salute cherry popped!
I'm sure you'll love it, I went to a couple ages ago ('95 and '01, IIRC) and they left a lasting impression.
Sorry, no - coming up from Gravesend, but come on UK Dakka, let's get some car pooling going for SALUTE...

FW Update - I just called them and you can reserve the show only models to avoid disappointment, they will even send them out if you cant make it there (had to ask with the Mrs ready to pop! ). You do have to pre-pay though.

Just bring LOTS of cash!
Its not that bad if you stick with 15mm's shopping... at least thats my plan! I have the feeling I will get carried away
Fireforge will also be at Salute with offers and their new Cavalry sets
Come to visit us at Salute 2012 Wargame Show. Fireforge Games will be there at stand TH20. Don't miss the chance to grab our new releases, Templar Knights and Mounted Sergeants, for the first time ever! As well as our acclaimed Teutonic Knights. Build your army with our fantastic show deals!
This offer is reserved to people collecting their order directly at our stand TH20 during Salute 2012 Wargaming Show.
IIRC the programme they hand out normally has a map on it as well.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I assume the event-only Arbitor is one per person? And do you know how much it is?
-----
I'd quite like a whole squad of these for my Arbites army, so if anyone is going to the FW stand/making a preorder and doesn't already want an Arbitor, I'd be happy to give you the cash if you could pick one up anyway...
@ Ian - I called them and ordered both the enfircer and skinwolf yesterday, they come to about £27 for the pair. The confirmation email doesn't give the split. If you want to call FW and check the amount you can get I'm sure I can sort out something you.
Just saw the FW modelling master class v2 book, if this is half as good as v1 it should be great. I need to win one of those KR bags now!

Would like an army of Aztecs, but I don't know of many places that make decent miniatures of them.
It has been sculpted by the very talented Jacques-Alexandre Gillois of Miniature Studio, and it's themed on the end of the 13th B'ak'tun of the Mayan Long Count Calendar.
