I was thinking and I was curious as to what other people thought about this.

Personally I would like to see the 'Sneaker Cults reintroduced as a model line for 40k as some of them back in the day were awesome.

For some reason I would also like to see the Barghesi to be given a line of models and added to the tau empire.

What about you guys?

I would prefer that GW update all of their current codexes in a more timely manner, than introducing a new one.

IF they were to introduce a new codex, I would certainly hope it wasn't another Imperium dex. Enough of those already. A Mercenaries codex would be cool though, I guess.

While the Ad Mech is a tempting choice, I'll have to go with Hrud for 3 reasons:

1: They're not yet another Imperial amy.

2: I love them being 'steampunk light infantry'.

3: Before anyone says "40K shouldn't and doesn't represent WHFB as much as it used to", let me first say 2 words: Chaos Daemons.

Oh and the monster in Xenology which looks like a heap of garbage better be either an allied race or non-existent. The Artist might as well have painted a picture of a Codex Space Marine giving the finger- "F*** you Skaven fans!" And in other news, Squats now exist again but they all look like Warp Spawn.

I feel like it should be admech, as a lot of people seem interested, or squats, due to the fact that their run was cut somewhat short. No pun intended.

Would the AdMech really AdMuch to the game? There's already bionics, Titans and the Machine Spirit..

I like the 'grass-roots' theme to Chaos cults, that interesting and ambitious transition from loyal to Heretic.

I want the old Inquisition back, with Stormtrooper squads as Troops and the option added to take Valkyries and Aquilas as Dedicated Transports for the sake of building an aerial-assault army.

The AdMech for sure. In fact it's kind of suprising they aren't already an army given their fluff significance.

None of these options particularly tickle my pickle. I think I'd prefer something original rather than warmed-up leftovers. These ideas are all ex-armies or armies that there is some (vocal) fan support for, based on an already existing in-universe idea. If there's going to be a new army, I'd like a new army. I'm not saying none of these ideas are without merit, just that I wouldn't be interested in playing or supporting any of them.

Sarahduin mate.
Alien Space-Sharks FTW!

Beastmen should not be an army themselves. More like a conversion for renegade guard. And I saw that happen.

Hrud would be an interesting sight. It would take a bit of work to make them an actual army, but its possible.

I would like to see thyruss (I think they are called that...weird, gelatenous artistic alien things) on the field though.

But do you really want to know who should make a come back?
Lost and the friggen damned.
The IoM gets IG as their cannon fodder, why should chaos have to be stuck with boring old power armor?

There's already 2 or 3 homebrew codexes floating around (albeit old, having 3rd edition rules). One is literally Skaven in Space and the other works more with the Hrud fusils seen in the 2nd edition rule book and Donorian clawed fiends as allies. Both involve the Skaven/Hrud Leadership getting worse as the size of the squad goes down, being cowards.

Hrud: http://www.40konline.com/index.php?topic=88848.0

Space Skaven: http://arcturas_stronghold.tripod.com/vermin/history.html (see the left panel for different sections of the codex).

I've compiled both of those into word documents, as well as changing some of the unit options. I love how "goggles" are wargear, adding to the steampunk-ness.

If GW were to create an offical codex, I'd rather that it be like the first one (Hrud) but perhaps more CC-oriented.

Ad Mech and Lost and the Damned, both are practically required.

LatD should get an offical codex because they're just so great to play as in terms of both fluff and gameplay, but if I had to chose one I'd go with the Hrud because frankly they need the publicity and to stop being whatever the artist painted in Xenology. LatD already have a semi-official codex plus offical HQ and Troop choises in the Inquisition codexes (or at least the old codexes).

Though having said that, there's no garrentee that the offical Hrud codex would be the Hrud in the 2nd edition rulebook or the garbage monster in Xenology.

I'm going to have to say Genestealer Cults, I just love the eery fluff about them. Plus hey, cool models and 'Nids with Lasguns.
Also AdMech, I would love to gun down an army of Skitarii.
