Take the example of 3 Boyz and a Nob with Boss Pole (obviously taken some previous fire) or even a unit of 10 Grotz with a Runtherd.

Now Tank Shock them, fail your Tank Shock Morale test and re-roll using your Boss Pole or Squig Hound - succeeding, but lose a Boy or 3 Grotz (hungry Squig Hound!) for making use of the Morale re-roll...

At the end of that phase, you have technically taken 25% casualties. Would I be correct in assuming this would trigger *another* Morale check?

Can you use the bosspole/squig for that check as well?

LOOK!! a shameless self-promotion! (gasp!)

I can't see why not - a very quick way to deplete Grotz if you are unlucky!

Incorrect, a bosspole allows you to re-roll the test, and only one reroll is allowed if you lose a subsequence Ork that dose not force a new test as the BRB states you test for it and the end of the phase so only one test is ever made.

Sorry - I meant you could:
1) Fail Morale Test - Tank Shock - at time of Tank Shock in opponent's movement phase
3) Succeed re-roll Morale Test - Tank Shock - at time of Tank Shock in opponent's movement phase (taking 25% casualties from Boss Pole/Squig Hound)
4) Fail Morale Test - Casualties at end of opponent's movement phase
5) Re-roll Morale Test - Casualties at end of opponent's movement phase (taking even more casualties)

Ie - effectively using the Boss Pole/Squig Hound twice in the same phase (opponent's movement phase) in the case of a Tank Shock...

I wasn't suggesting that you could repeat 4 & 5 above ad infinitum...

Funnily enough, your Grotz (or Boyz) could then be shot in the opponent's shooting phase and take a third re-roll - I don't think a small unit of Grotz could survive 3 squig hounds plus a round of shooting... (but as you said, the casualties caused by this would not trigger another morale check - we are already at the end of the phase)

Dont have the codex and BRB on me at the moment but if I was to guess then yes as the tank shock is a separate test that can happen multiply times and you are still only testing 25% casualties at the end of phase HOWEVER this is just a guess and you really need to check the BRB/Codex to be sure but I do follow your logic there.
