As the title asks, what Forgeworld model would you like to see as a GW plastic Kit?

With the improvements in plastic in recent times, and them churning out some pretty nice plastic kits (Tervigon, Thundertusk, Black dragon and araknarock to name but a few), I was curious to know what everyone's opinion was. My choice would have to be either the Tyranid Heirophant or Harridan. As the way they have begun to model the kits being assembled, a lot of the weight and fragility problems with those two models would be severely reduced. Plus I'd be less afraid to convert it if it was plastic too

What would your choice be?

That's a little quick out the gate, isn't it?

I'd love to see a plastic Warhound. GW has proven they can do plastics in large scale with the Stompa and Baneblade, and it would be a pretty iconic kit. Failing that, a Thunderbolt fighter. I love the look of both it and the Marauder, but I can't feel safe putting a heavy resin model on a flight stand!

I think you can probably count the Thunderbolt being done for the next guard codex as it seems everyone is getting a flyer of some sort. And it'd be pretty damn sweet to see a plastic Warhound... but, unfortunately I wouldnt hold my breath :(

For one, Guard have their flier, the Valkyrie. The Guard codex started the flyer craze with it.

Secondly, the Thunderbolt really shouldn't be in the Guard codex because it's Imperial Navy, not Guard.

I'd really like to see a Warhound. It's one of those kits people would buy just to build and paint. I know I would.

A Heirophant would annoy me, mostly because I'm halfway through building one. Though not having to construct a special flying base for one would be nice.

Haha nope, Its been on my wishlist since it first came out in metal in the early 90's (although I think you could only win it, but not sure on that)

Nah, the original Thunderhawk saw a limited run of 500 in white metal at £400 a pop. It came with two certificates. One of authenticity and one of ownership and it came in a very nice wooden case that even had a lock and key

For me, it'd have to be the Repressor. I love that model so much... So, so much... fap fap fap fap...

Um, sorry to bust in, but Valkyries are also Navy...

Honestly, the contemptor. Because there is little why it isn't in normal games anyway.

That, or those armor mark kits to be mixed into the GW plastic kits.

Good news. This is the best time in the hobby. Full of promise. GW lets us down each time and we know it but secretly we're hoping that this is the edition that GW gives us a balanced game that can also be played competitively at tournaments. I'm loving it.

With the noticeable difference that Valkyrie pilots follow the orders of the senior officer of the regiment they are assigned to. They are effectively a unit of the regiment they're assigned to until the completion of the mission. Thing like Thunderbolts are all Imperial Navy, not seconded to regiments.

Yes, that is true. The way I think of it is the Guard armies are under the command of a Lord General, who would be in overall command of an army group. Navy would answer to him, so he could order for regiments to have direct naval support. But, at the end of the day, Guard have the fliers they need.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

IIRC, GW said they wouldn't be pilfering units from FW anymore. This was some time after the Tyranid codex.

That doesn't mean they won't, as I was under the assumption that GW bought out Forgeworld, so they have the rights to... But also it doesnt stop us wishing
