How on earth is sky blue, light blue, and turquoise a British Olympic kit?!

Was she looking at the wrong flag? It looks like something the Argentinian team would wear!

I question the seam placement on the female track gear.

That doesn't scream GB at all. As a typical American, I only know 3 flags that aren't a State Flag or my own country's Flag. Canada, Mexico, and GB.

Other than the arm badge, I'd never guess the two on the left were for Great Britain. The best looking uniform is the girl on the right but I think that has more to do with her. Maybe also that there's more red.

Well, isn't she basically saying that she wanted to do something different than what Britons are proud of? The most charitable reading I can take is "I wanted Britons to think about their pride in a new way." But I don't see how this does so.

Damn I knew we where going to hand something off to the Scots to avoid the 'break away' vote. Seems it was the national flag colours.

Well.. that kinda makes sense.. In a sense I do think the Olympics does more harm than good. Instead of promoting togetherness, it seems to promote divisiveness. You know, people start going "OUR COUNTRY IS BETTER THAN YOURS" a whole lot more.

I like that spirit of the Olympics. It's okay to root for your own team and that doesn't mean that you hate other countries. That's why the Olympics are valuable to international relations: we can experience that patriotism is not necessarily a function of hatred or narrow-mindedness. This costume misses that point, as far as I can tell.

Gender aside, sort of, owning more spandex than most (I imagine) I can say any center seam placement has a way of ruffling the genitalia.

Saw some more of the kit on the C4 news earlier on and they were showing more of it than was show in the release this afternoon. It comes in reds and whites too, the gymnastics guys started showing his off when the reporter was complaining about it being all blue and the gymnastics one was red with bits of white. Not sure why they couldn't put all three colours on the same outfit though.

Just seems bizarre to me, to change the colours of a flag for a national team event on any of them, seems like most from these pics. A flag which men have shed blood for and we've fought others in the defense of.

I'm not the most patriotic of folks sometimes, but if showing the world the colours of our union Jack isn't appropriate at the Olympics, when bloody hell is it?
