It doesn't help that, for both sexes, there is a cutout that screams "Look at my crotch!"

Those are truly awful uniforms. I don't know why they'd do that to the Union Jack, a flag even non-British generally love.

I am truley sorry for your lots.

So they put out national flag on it, but change the colours? It just looks boring and doesn't catch the eye at all.

At least the 2012 logo catches the eye. In all the wrong ways, it's bloody horrible. But this just is just dull.

Is the logo supposed to vaguely represent the isles? (I get that they're numbers. I mean I eventually got it.)

I'd like to see the French, Polish or any other country with lines for flags do this. We only get away with it (well......sort of) because of the unique design.

*looks at the two athletes on the left* Ah no..we don't get away with it.

Stick Victoria Pendleton (second from left in OP photo) in a tight outfit and you have my tacit approval. This works too...

As for the design itself, I don't mind seeing something a bit different once in a while.

I like it. Or rather, I don't understand what all the shrieking is about. It's athletics. No one here really gives a gak about it.

Except me

Athletics is genuine sport. Plus... you know, there's Victoria Pendleton in tight outfits. That never gets tired.

I will bet between google and I; I can produce a better UK Olympic uniform design.
Spoiler:

I do believe a small consulting fee in order.

This is the boxers look...

Pretty typical though of the 'friendly' games they want to create, the full on Union flag is probably deemed to be too agressive (see previous image...) - just look at how they airbrushed HMS Belfast out of publicity shots...

and since when was the Thames so clean and reflective !!

As AustonT, so much easier to find a better look...

It looks hideous. Blue is the imperialist colour anyway.. Seems like they are trying to 'tone down' the Englishness.

It's ok to be British, Welsh, Scottish but it's not OK to be English (check the census form!)

Dunno if anyone has pointed out yet, but I'll do so anyway....

That is not track gear, the two on the far left are cyclists... the "camels" you are seeing are in fact, the chamois that is built into basically all cycling outfits. I should also add that, IMO Adidas as a cycling gear manufacturer is horrible, England/GB would have done much better with even Pearl Izumi.

I think you are missing the point. It doesn't matter what the outfit is for as it looks a bit silly and she has a monster camel toe. She could pick up coconuts with that thing.

I dont give that much of a feth, the only point I want to make is..

Why the feth doesnt it look like the British flag?!

Red, white and blue.. in any possible way. Is just fine.

I was most disturbed when I saw a skinny junkie presenting an all blue shirt to us and saying "feth the national flag, your all wearing blue"

It looks like the Argentinian ladies hockey strip!

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

While I don't think there has been much "fuss" about this on Dakka (less than two pages), I do think it's kind of a big deal. Hosting the Olympics is something to be very proud of. Being British is something to be very proud of. On such an occasion, it seems fething stupid to be wearing a bad xerox copy of the flag.
