Those are truly awful uniforms. I don't know why they'd do that to the Union Jack, a flag even non-British generally love.

So they put out national flag on it, but change the colours? It just looks boring and doesn't catch the eye at all.

At least the 2012 logo catches the eye. In all the wrong ways, it's bloody horrible. But this just is just dull.

Is the logo supposed to vaguely represent the isles? (I get that they're numbers. I mean I eventually got it.)

I'd like to see the French, Polish or any other country with lines for flags do this. We only get away with it (well......sort of) because of the unique design.

As for the design itself, I don't mind seeing something a bit different once in a while.

I like it. Or rather, I don't understand what all the shrieking is about. It's athletics. No one here really gives a gak about it.

The gymnastics is the best bit, I always tune in for the women's events.

It looks hideous. Blue is the imperialist colour anyway.. Seems like they are trying to 'tone down' the Englishness.

It's ok to be British, Welsh, Scottish but it's not OK to be English (check the census form!)

That is not track gear, the two on the far left are cyclists... the "camels" you are seeing are in fact, the chamois that is built into basically all cycling outfits. I should also add that, IMO Adidas as a cycling gear manufacturer is horrible, England/GB would have done much better with even Pearl Izumi.

The next person that changes the colours of the Union Flag should be slowly impaled over traitors gate. Actually no sod it lets start with Stella.

I think you are missing the point. It doesn't matter what the outfit is for as it looks a bit silly and she has a monster camel toe. She could pick up coconuts with that thing.

I was most disturbed when I saw a skinny junkie presenting an all blue shirt to us and saying "feth the national flag, your all wearing blue"

While I don't think there has been much "fuss" about this on Dakka (less than two pages), I do think it's kind of a big deal. Hosting the Olympics is something to be very proud of. Being British is something to be very proud of. On such an occasion, it seems fething stupid to be wearing a bad xerox copy of the flag.
