Considering the discussion on what is a good/bad sequel (or follow up, games seem to have trouble stopping at two) what are some games people would actually like to see a continuation of?
For my part I would like to see a sequel to Tobal. No2, and for it to released outside the US. The first came out in the US but was really still quite rough. The second on the other hand was 60fps of fighting game goodness on the PS1. It had a great control scheme which was easy to learn but difficult to master, and a well balanced roster of fighters*.
I guess the second I would mention would be Bushido Blade, another PS1 game. The best description would be that it is a more realistic version of Soul Blade. Weapons took up space and if they hit each other would bounce back or push the other player around. You could also die in one hit if someone got past your defenses. It was pretty rough but at the time it was well done. I would like to see what they could with it using today's technology. They would have to keep the option to play in black and white with the emulsion scratches to make it seem like an old Samurai movie.

How could anyone say no? Give them better marketing and a better budget (so as to actually finish the Single Player) and they would instantly have my $60.

A thousand seconds!
Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.
Going to have to add Star Wars Republic Commando. Even if it was only a spiritual successor, and it kept every mechanic the same but completely changed the universe away from star wars.
You had every gun you needed with you at all times (as long as you had the ammo for it), squad commands were incredibly easy to do things like Breach, Hack, Take a Sniper Position, Blow that door open, etc, and the squad members were rather well done. Yeah, the game was short and it's story disappointing, but it had all sorts of cool stuff going on. Like window wipers on your helmet.

Its been theorized that Shas'la Kais is Shas'O Kais, who commanded Tau forces on Kronus during Dawn of War: Dark Crusade if thats any consolation. Not that there's much story in Dark Crusade lol.

Take your pick of 10 b grade movie monsters (though not licensed) and wage war on a second across sprawling cities with complete open world freedom of movement and the ability to make any object in the world a weapon. That antannae? Spear. That fuel truck? Bomb. Those your enemy into a building and it crumbles around them.
When you got close enough to your opponent, you'd go into side on fighting game style camera, otherwisde 3rd person free roaming. With 2 player split screen, the screens would actually merge when you got close enough, then split if one ran.

A big budget remake would be dreamy.
I can't see the picture but i know what the game is from the description and i totally agree!
And a co-op mode and more multiplayer gadgets...

A fantastic game with funny characters, great gameplay and total carnage of the robotic kind. And, having read what the planned story for 2 & 3 (yes there were two sequels planned) I really want them. Shame Activision are too stupid to actually put them out
Although if it comes out, It'll warrent £30 of my cash to at least give the game a go via a intial purchase of the box, can't wait for some WoD MMO action.
As to mine.
Why, what madness has taken grip at EA that they cannot see a proper remake of this and not that Jailbreak gak, would be a license to print money.
This needs to remake of some kind, only as a turn based strategy game mind though, big games companies would believe turn based strategy gamers don't exist anymore, well they also thought no one wanted adventure games either.
Possibly one of my fave games ever when I was younger, its sadly not aged well, but the mechanic for choosing your team is wonderful. The idea of being able to walk into an Inn and pick two or three companions for my journies in a modern RPG would be awesome. If not a retun of Ishar, then will someone of Betheseda's ability add it to a new RPG at some point.
There are some rumours that this might finally be getting its third game, I hope so, as tacked on straglers, trying to compete in other fighting games is not the destiny I had in mind as I played the second game relentlessly all those years ago. Come home please Darkstalkers, we have missed you.
I'm not sure I need to say anything here, other than once again like EA and Road rash. What in the nine hells is Lucasarts playing at. Make this game, money I have it, I want to give it to you!!

It's the story and the world that interest me, I really doubt an MMO can pull this off.
Beyond Good And Evil: I really liked that game; a sequel has been in the works for years but nothing concrete ever seems to get out.
The world Ends With You on the DS was a pretty cool game, but I think it undersold amid the ocean of shovelware titles.
As for games that need more sequels, I'd love to see updates/remakes of G-Police and Colony Wars from the PS1 days.
JohnnoM wrote:TooHuman needs a sequel, it was a great game.
no it wasnt. I really liked it when I was playing it, but it was god awful. After like level 20, everything took 20 minutes of slashing to get to half health. it was ridiculously awful trying to kill things
Yeah Too Human was awful (I loved it though). I would actually like a sequel though. One that managed to stay out of development hell and maybe be, idk, good? XD
Completely forgot about that game, and it was a pretty gem, if a bit unpolished (The only real way to kill the enemies base was put turrets into it). I would welcome a second with open arms.

*Meh, Darkstalkers, that's the game with the weird people*
*See's Red Riding Hood with a gun*
I agree with you fully

Of course I remember the game that never ends, or at least felt like it. It was a cool game and a sequel wouldn't necessarily be unwelcome, but man did that drag on and on after awhile.
