That is indeed a good one. I'm amazed at how much animation they managed with the General's Pony Creator. It's also my favorite song of the show. It only beats out Aria because of my Pinkie bias.

I live in IOWA! It is decisively Not cool. I have Yet to see a brony meet up advertised for my state. It's merely the benefit of living in the US, home of the largest population of consumer whores.

I've been super productive art wise the last 48 hours at work and have added a bunch more fan art and other drawings on MY TUMBLR , now even in full color! I figure at this point I've got my style figured out enough that I'll be setting up and opening an ask blog for Pony Kirby this weekend, with the first post going up over night Monday night.

My friend, who we will call Mr Derp, didn't think that I could raise a Caterpie to level 100 in Pokemon. He said "LV 34 You can have a pony, LV100 and it's a white Celestia" (when they're released.)
It took me about a day to do it. And a lot of rare candies, but now Mr Derp owes me ponies XD He's know for making stupid bets.

Make it a Sunkern.

Sunkern only evolves by Sun stone(So you can have it hold an Evolite for better defenses) and has a lower BST than Caterpie and Weedle. Ctaerpie and weedle have BST of 195. Sunkern's BST is 180, Which IIRC is the lowest of any pokemon.

Meh, I went flat out marty sue with mine. Mat Ward would be proud Ok, maybe not complete and utter Marty sue on that scale, but I still think it's a bit OP. Potentially, still working on backstory. Everyone else managed to make theirs believable though, Which is good to see.

Ok, a couple of suggestions for a name... hmm... let's see...
Bellus: based on your name, it's also the name of a Blood Angels ship in the BA omnibus. Might be a bit outlandish though.
Something to do with dice, maybe snakes (reference to snake eyes), Boxes/ box/ boxy/ any damn variety on that (boxcars, and of the MEHTUL variety), or simply your online handle could work. That's what I did anyway. I even have a couple of character names left over, but that's irrelevant.
There isn't really a great secret to picking a name. It doesn't have to reflect anything, just so long as you like it.

Oh, and thanks for that lur_tau-mont. I'll see if he goes for it again, but I doubt he will. He might not be that easy to trick again.

I know that feel, I can't seem to do anything useful if my army includes a GKSS. I've single-handedly proved they are not cheese in my last few games. But I did the LV 100 thing with a caterpie, so I doubt a Magikarp is out of my reach. I have one that's level 24 anyway...

Last pokemon tidbit for a while: Magikarp is better than Catepie.

Caterpie has 2 attacking Moves, One of which he gets STAB from (bug Bite) The other is tackle.

Magikarp gets Bounce, which has over 60 Base Power and since it's a flying move, is Super Effective on Bugs.

I did the Calcs for Caterpie Vs Magikarp. Both at Level 100.

Choice Band Adamant Magikarp bounce with 252 attack EVs against Bulky Bold Caterpie(252 HP EVs and 252 Defense EVs): 130 - 154 Damage(44.2% - 52.4%)

Choice Band Adamant Caterpie Bug bite with 252 attack Evs against Bulky Bold Magikarp(252 HP EVs and 252 Defense Evs) 75 - 88 Damage (30.7% - 36.1%)


Now Choice band set Vs Choice Band Set: Magikarp would go First due to his 85 base Speed (compared to Caterpie's 45 base Speed)

Choice band Adamant Magikarp Bounce with 252 attack EVs against Choice band adamant Caterpie with 252 attack Evs: 226 - 266 (97.8% - 115.2%) Almost an guaranteed OHKO, definate 2HKO assuming no misses.

If Caterpie lives(or if Bounce, with it's 85% accuracy, missed):

Choice band Adamant Caterpie Bug Bite with 252 attack EVs against Choice band adamant Magikarp with 252 attack Evs: 117 - 138 (64.6% - 76.2%) Would be a 2HKO.


Caterpie could get the first attack if it had a Choice Scarf and 252 EVs in Speed as well as attack, but would only do 78 - 93 (43.1% - 51.4%) damage. Without the Choice band, Caterpie loses out on too much attack to even guarantee a 2HKO.
