Heya all,

I am pretty new here so as introduction I'd like to show latest stuff leaving the painting station
Because recently I got bit more hobby time I deeply hope to paint all remaining gangers so by the end of the year I can field huge horde of fully painted, wysiwyg rottenheads.

But at this moment there are 6 guys photographed: middle ones painted in the passed weeks, others - few years back. I hope to add photos to this thread when I get more gangers done so prepare for demi-spamming and threadomancy

I love the idea of a scavvy taking out a Terminator. Lovely paintjob, very gritty and realistic.

I hope to paint (and repaint) whole gang the same / VERY similar way the middle ones scavvies are done - don't like colorful "circus" idea anymore...
And since lots of elements will look very similar I might try to prepare some text about painting stuff - similar to these
Also some news about the painting progress might be thrown in here - before I can get photos of finished models to publish on dakka of course.

Cheers guys!

@PDH: you missed it 'cause I invest a lot in stealth skills after every game

Rrright:
you all have been warned about reanimating this topic so here's another gang support:Mr Smoothskin (the one in the middle).
And exactly like before - side gangers were painted long time ago and will be repainted just as I finish primed models to fit new-and-improved gang look and desert bases

Hope you like them - the next victim to be paint-slapped nas already been chosen...

I particularly love those metal tones, like the knife and pick. And the smoky metal on the guns, looks amazing. Are those done with pigments?

New ones are more planned and less accidental.
And most important: bases fit the ash wastes gaming board!

Bruticus wrote:I particularly love those metal tones, like the knife and pick. And the smoky metal on the guns, looks amazing. Are those done with pigments?

Rust on this one was painted using Vallejo brown glazed over metalic base tone and also real rust powder.
Although I also use "normal" pigments and these are also really fine material for achieving thich and almost "chunky" layer of corrosion

oooh I read your blogspot blog, I've only just made the connection. I love your cave troll scaly by the way, you should post that here too. I'm a big fan of your rusty painting style, if I had more patience I would try to paint like that too.

I seriously love these scavvies. I like the old colourscheme as well. How many of these guys do you have? I hope to see a few of the weirder models here as well, like the Scalies, or the Zombies and Ghouls.

If I had a dollar for every dollar I spent I'd have all my money back.

Another scaly will be posted when I paint another scavvy ganger
Which will happen hopefully by the end of the week.
I am also big fan of painting rust everywhere and there'll be lots of it on the piece of scenic photo background I am also preparing...

I have almost whole ~'95s scavvy line except for scalies and alternative boss. But last week I managed to exchange some painting service for the missing rottenheads so if the deal works well - there will be whole huge gang painted.
Didn't know there were other followers than zombies in the old Scavvy line...

Wonderful!

I love how dirty and muted they look, very grubby but without the paintjob looking messy.

Bases are sweet too.

Lovely scavvies Demi_Morgana. Found miself some time to spare for DakkaDakka and popped into these horrific beauties. I really like the way you've treated these old-schoolers with pastel'ish hue and giving nice strong colours here and there (eg. green hair). I'll keep an eye open for this log...

Bit of terrain was just added so the gang feels more comfortable in the glass case.
