I've been trying to paint more of my Boyz lately, but I've been fustrated with how difficult it is to produce neat-looking and high-contrast Ork skin. I've tried the AoBR method of Orkhide Shade > Goblin Green as well as a personal choice of Goblin Green > Thraka Green Wash, but the former requires very fine brushwork and the latter requires large amounts of wash to give a reasonable contrast.
Can anyone give me help painting Ork skin with these techniques or any others?

I have used this guide recently and the results are excellent, both in terms of speed and aesthetics.

I belive I've just stumbled onto a working technique - I haven't had the opportunity to purchase a yellow for filbert's method, but I have found that a coat of Skull White (or Ceramic White or whatever the kids are calling it these days) and Scorpion Green, then inked and washed (with Dark Green and Thraka Green respecively) provides an easy, slap-it-on, high-contrast Ork skin that is dark and matte in the recesses and is bright and crisp on the edges. I'll take photos of my Warboss' new appearance and add them here soon.

I just came up with a new variation of catattafishs technice...

Basecoat orkhide shade (or whatever its called now...) then cover most of it with knarlock green. Only leave the deepest recesses showing.
Now, mix some bleached bone into the knarlock green, and paint these fancy, sinewy stripes, and put a green wash on it in the end.
It looks like this:
