Hi! I just completed 2,000 points worth of Wolves! This army is by far the best I have done and I plan on keeping it for an extremly long time. Most pictures are linked to the gallery if you would like to vote on my pictures as well! Please critique! say whats good, whats not etc. so I can make it even better! I am looking for honesty, advice/techniques, or encouragement to make my painting reach Golden Demon status - a self goal of mine and hope to be in the competition in a couple years. Towards the bottom of page 2 and all pictures thereafter have some cool pictures of the army on its display board. Those pictures are almost studio quality pictures so make sure you check them out! Thank you for looking!

Kal-El, those SWs look awesome. No surprise you want to keep them. This may be the first time I've seen Space Wolves on lava bases and I really like the contrast. My only critique, which doesn't really count (it's just preference), is that I think the freehand on the rhino, which is very well done, is a little over the top for SMs. It's done with great skill, I just personally find it a little OTT. They look great, though. The freehand throughout is really well done.

Thanks for sharing!

Very cool! Awesome painting, and I like the OSL from the bases!

Have to agree with Moltar though on the freehanded rhino, though painted beautifully it does look OTT to me

Nicely done!! The bases look awesome. Don't care for that wolf model, just doesn't fit IMO. Definitely would like to see how the rest of the army continues.

Initial success, or total failure.

Hey guys! Thank you ALL so very much. I do agree the tank is a little OTT lol; I kind of go a little too far on my tanks for some reason. The werewolf is because Bran Redmaw's Great Company is actually noted for having the were's in the company. I will have 3-4 more Rhinos with some werewolf art on it. The model I used for the Mark of the Wulfen is from Hordes. It is a Skinwalker or something. The fluff from the codex says the feral form is about 80% larger than the marine...so I figured I would give it a shot lol. The scale is almost correct though, and I will have a back up model from GW in case someone does not want me to play with it. Lots more in the works!

Dune buggy! Lol j/k. It does look like a monster truck which is still pretty cool IMO lol. Good feedback never thought of it that way. Also I am glad you liked the runes! Thank you!

Stormcrow wrote:Why does the speeder have a stand?

It is to keep the correct height and less wear and tear on the wheels. When on display it will be off base. I have not decided if I am going to paint it up or not. If you see the pic that has the stand next to the buggy you can see its height.

Thank you! Also for what you said about the wheels tread...you are probably right as that was the one thing I did not even take into consideration when I attached them. If they ever fall off I will correct this. Thank you for the heads up! I also do have some WIP shots of the buggy. They can be found easily by following the link in my signature. They are on the first page - 3 of them I think. I wish I had taken more when building it. I will surely keep up the good work! I have my first long fang squads bases already to go...just working on the guys now.

I say keep up the were art. It may be OTT, but it also makes your army very unique. Let's face it there are a ton of SW armies (cause they're awesome) so having a unique angle on them is a good thing. Cheers.

Thank you! I always want to try new things and be unique which is the entire reason for the fire theme on the bases. I will def. keep up the OTT paintings lol.

Thank you Mayfist. I have easily over 3k points worth to paint so I will be at it for a bit lol. On a second note ALL long langs are now complete. 15 missle launchers and 3 SGTs! I was able to do 6 in 4 days and I was pretty proud about that. I painted these runes all the same color because they are usually sepereated from each other by about a foot lol so they won't get there squad confused often. Well here are the pics! I hope everyone enjoys them and as always C&C welcome! O one last tidbit I followed fluff and gave the long fangs the yellow eyes and grey hair because they are older and closer to the wolf.
