The First Official Adventure Time Video Game Talks Trash This Fall

The First Official Adventure Time Video Game Talks Trash This FallPendleton Ward's quirky cartoon sensation Adventure Time makes its video game debut this fall in Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?! for the DS and 3DS. I'm so, so happy.

Created by the 2D masters at Wayforward Technologies with story support by Mr. Ward himself Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?! sees our best-friend heroes Jake and Finn taking on the vile Ice King, who has stolen everyone's garbage. Normally that would be cause for a nice nap, but when Finn finds out his nemesis is using the trash to create a Garbage Queen... I'm guessing he's as curious as I am and goes to take a look.

Honestly I can't imagine a better developer to work on a game like this, and with Pendleton Ward on the scene I'm as excited as a Cartoon Network Enterprises VP in an official press release.

"The rich and diverse characters in the Adventure Time world are absolutely perfect for a video game franchise and working with D3Publisher, WayForward and Pendelton Ward, we have a great team in place to bring it to life," said Pete Yoder, vice president of consumer products, Cartoon Network Enterprises. "This game will provide the Land of Ooo experience that young fans will love."

Awwww, he called us young. Look for Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?! from D3Publisher in my 3DS this fall.

I want to preorder this so bad that it hurts.

Why pay out of your arse to get something you don't use? Sorry, but the 3DS is an overpriced DS with a gimmick.

This.

I don't know anyone(adult, teen or child) that can take more than 30 minutes of the 3d without eye strain making them turn it off.

I can with ease, personally I really like the 3DS, and while I often don't use the 3D, it's because of being sat in the wrong position to use it.

What good games are on 3DS?

Ocarina Of Time 3D
Star Fox 64 3D
Mario Kart 7
Kid Icarus Uprising
Super Mario 3D Land
Resident Evil: Revelations

More, depending on taste.

So in essence, games we've already played a decade ago, or remakes of those games?

Isn't that pretty much the entirity of Nintendo's game portfolio though? Endless Mario remakes etc?

Plus, if I wanted to play those games, I'd just play them, not buy an expensive gimmick to be able to buy(again) and play games I already own and enjoy.

It's a bit telling that half the "good" 3DS games are remakes.

Half = 3/6
How many games there we remakes = 2/6

Not half.

Seriously, four of those games were originals (or as original as one can get in today's videogame market).

The other two were remakes, but both had additional content.

Same with every developer. At least Nintendo can design an imaginative game, rather than yet another gakky FPS.

What Time is it? ADVENTURE TIME! love the series for "kids" TV show based in a post apocalyptic world it is quite dark.

Going to get this and Pokemon as soon the new 3DS module is released and - ... (looks left and watches wipeout PSvita intro)... I can't decide it makes my head hurt more than the 3D does to my eyes...

You do know that it causes SERIOUS eye damage? That it stops the eyes developing properly in under 12s? That even Nintendo have said not to buy your children one?

Yes, the 3D part does. Hence why you turn the 3D off. Problem solved. Thats like getting all uppity about a loaded firearm being dangerous. Take the bullet out, danger goes away.

Would prolly take a lot of force to club someone to death with a 3DS.

Sounds like a challenge...

Actually, the recommended minimum age is 6, not 12

The secret there, is multiple strikes. Sure you can one shot someone with a hammer, and they are dead. But you can also bludgeon someone to death with the heel of a shoe with multiple strikes. Sides the 3DS has corners, so they help concentrate the force............I think I put too much thought into that one
