Some Armorcast terrain I painted.

These models are the reason I spent money on the Legion of Everblight. I had stuff
for the army before, but these made me finish.

Nice work on the Warmongers, I love those models too. I had sort of forgotten about them, but now I'll have to pick up a box to "round out" my Everblight force. You're setting the bar pretty high, painting-wise though. Hopefully my Everblight can stand up to that, when I get around to finishing them.

Actually, those two big guys are Warmonger War Chiefs. Pics of the regular Warmongers
are attached below.

Progress on Corsairs and Orin Midwinter.

What are Corsairs from? High elves or something?

The Corsairs are Dark Elf Warrior conversions using Corsair parts. They're a pain to
rank up, so I think I can rank them up with regular Dark Elf Warriors.

This is the first time I ever made this mistake. I put one coat of sealer on the minis,
and later on when I tried to put the second coat I hit it with black primer.

I left it on, as you can see. It's on the Gatorman leader as well as one other model.

Ouch!!! Bummer :(

I've always wondered how this happens to people. How did it happen in your case? Is it just that you're painting so many minis and going in auto-pilot mode, and the primer was where your sealant usually is? Or do the labels look really similar?

Maybe everyone should mark their primer cans with a big red "X" as a precaution...

They still look good, for what it's worth . Maybe you can use the background of the leader escaping from a tar pit and living to tell about it

Yeah, I was on auto-pilot. I spray in long stretches after I've built up a collection of stuff. Usually
that means 20-40 painted figs and 20-40 assembled figs to be primed.

The process is kind of like this:

1. Seal coat one on finished minis.
2. Prime assembled minis.
3. Wait a little more time and seal coat two on finished minis.

You'll see the other fig in a few weeks or so (it's further down the queue of minis
to post to Dakka blog)

This is a bunch of Dark Elf Warrior Corsair conversions that are so annoying to rank up that
I think I'm going to just keep it at the one unit.

Yet another reason why I don't play DE.

Well to be fair, Dark Elf Warriors by themselves rank up fine and Dark Elf Corsairs
rank up fine, but Dark Elf Corsair Warrior conversions by themselves do not rank up
fine. In fact, I think I can only make them rank up by interspersing my Dark Elf
Corsair Warrior conversions with regular Dark Elf Warriors as you see in the pictures.

So now I have a fully painted Legion of Everblight warpack. Huzzah!

I was thinking that too at first, but then I thought, maybe she's just now pulling the arrow from the quiver and in the process of nocking it, rather than shooting it. That was my interpretation, at least.

The kit comes with an arrow.

It's a fat arrow, though. I put it in to help keep the bow in place as it's molded to the
hand which is joined to the wrist of the forearm.

I hate wrist joins.

*gasp* Mine didn't come with an arrow! I bought it second hand though, that's probably why...


I hated that wrist joint too, but I ended up solving the problem by trimming the wrist nub a bit, then pinning it. It's worked well so far, but she hasn't really seen any battles yet.
