Lol! As long as I keep the bottles sealed tight, it's not an issue. It makes you work quick in the summer. Since I tend to work with thn coats, my work goes very fast.

Don't feel silly. The base rules are right out of the necromunda rules, but each group that is doing anything with Imunda is using their own modifications for the rules. This variant really needs someone to act as a GM to keep everything balanced. You can download the Necromunda rulebook from the GW specialist games section. I also recommend pulling all of the Necro supplements they have on the site and all of the Inquisitor stuff and work your own rules up.

Good luck with that, be sure to make a blog about it when you get the ball rolling.

If you want to have a look at the stuff that my group uses, I can send it to you in a few days when I get home. All of it may not make sense to you, but it could be good for inspiration.

Just PM me an email address and I´ll get it to you. Oh, also, see if you can find the "Ash wastes campaign setting". It was made by the guys at the old Fanatic website, and has great stuff for adding vehicles and beasts.
I´m currently re-writing their driving and vehicle combat rules, in the hope that I can explain them better than the original version does.

Other than that, no hobby stuff till later this week since everything is packed away for transport.

Thanks Migsula, long time no see. Glad that the inspiration at least runs a bit your way as well, have gotten a lot of good stuff from your threads.

@Shotgunfacelift: Thanks, I had some trouble with it at first, but ended up using two standars sentinel chainswords, cut up and reassembled with plasticard.

Still not too much hobby stuff going on, but will be painting and modeling tonight and tomorrow night, so hopefully there´ll be some pics for you then.

Oooookay then, finally back from my vacation, and against my hopes (but confirming my fears), there was no proper gaming this summer.

Unfortunately, helping in the planning of the awesome G! Festival really took a lot more time than I´d expected... Ah well, it was a great experience also, but meant that I had little time for anything gaming related.

I have gotten quite some painting and modeling done, and will be updating this thread, and the Blood Angel thread, as I get pictures of it all.

For example, I´ve completed the second marine, and have finished modeling the sargeant, who will be getting paint soon. Also, there´s a BFG rapid strike vessel done, and more BFG ships on the way, for winter mayhem later on.

As far as gaming goes, we did finish some terrain this summer, and got some rules testing done for a new type of Munda scenario, called HulkaMunda for now. More on that later.

So yes, I am back. And updates should hopefully become more or less regular again. Yay!

Alrighty, time for a little picture update here!

It seems that most of the stuff that I have ready to show here is actually Blood Angel related, so that will go in its proper thread. Hpwever, I do have my Gaunt (and subsequent nid) scheme ready for unveiling. It´s nothing fancy, just a basic metallic black, with pure black plates. Then it´s received a grey striping effect, and has been given some greenish goo detailing here and there. And it is still somewhat WIP, unbased and all....

Also, a shot of the table we set up for the inaugural HulkaMunda game. Pretty basic, but you get the picture I hope. Corridors linking the various rooms, blips marking movement locations and bulkheads with doors to note the airlocks.

More to come soon, as well as some more details on the house rules for =I=Munda in space.

Hi Xanthos, nice to see you're back!

HulkaMunda, I like the sound of that.
Nice idea to use the Necromunda terrain like that. I'll have to swipe that idea, if you don't mind...

Exploring the dark, twisting corridors of =I=Munda... Dare you follow?

Good to be back!

Swipe away my friend, swipe away.

The idea was born of necessity really, we were looking at a way to use the necromunda terrain for ´Hulk style battles, and this seemed to be the only way to make it look proper. Also, because some buildings use fewer bulkheads when placed like this, we had the door ones spare to use as airlocks. Win!

At the moment I´m trying to paint all the bulkheads green, with weathering and damage showing through. This way, they will look even better for future battles. Also, a new tablecloth is needed, since this one does not say "Dank horrible corridors" to me...

Ahh, you got it working, excellent!

I was about to send you a PM explaining it, but this looks cool.

Nice planets, and also, very nice fleets. I´d like some closeups if possible.
Also, painting the bases black seems to be the "thang" around here, it makes them blend with the background better.

Those are Dark Eldar ships on the left side?

Hey, those are looking good man, good job getting some colors on them! They still need basing though.

Two things: Firstly, are you using the macro function on your camera? It should be a small flower or some such. This allows you to take closeups that are far clearer.

Secondly, a light background for the gang would make it easier to see the models properly.

I´d forgotten how nice that tau pilot looks. He really is an ace model!

The rest of the gang is looking good in color as well

Awesome to see you posting Aurelion, nice work on the models, all around. I too have to admit a great admiration for that Tau pilot.

I've been on a bit of a break lately, have my exams next week and then school starts again immediately after that, so we'll see if I can't get back into my modeling and painting mode once the school year has begun.

We should all meet up at Xan's evil-overlord-island and get some games going.

(He keeps denying the existence of his evil-overlord-island-hideaway, but I am sure it exists. It might not have a volcano, but a doom-laser is not too much to ask, right? And a small compound full of minions and dangerous vats of chemicals?)

Scene: Skirmish between Clan Scryer and Clan moulder. Scryer player revs up the rattling gun:
*roll* 4, *roll* 1, *roll* 6... pause, consider. Moulder player taunts, *roll* 4! Damn! *roll scatter dice*, *aim directly at scryer warlock engineer,* *hit warlock engineer 15 times.* *Surrender* Ooooh, the beauty of Skaven engineering. =)

Well, I´m back with more news, first of which is: Yay for space hulk, it´s been preorderized so hard it made people´s heads spin at my flgs. So get ready for more Hulk=I=Munda when that comes round.

It will also, I hope, serve as inspiration for making more terrain..

In the building and modelling world, here are a few of the things I am working on right now.

My new FW stuff came in, so I´ve started the assembly of what will eventually be a Blood Angel IA (epic) scale thunderhawk. The kit it self is amazing, So many tiny bits, and so much detail. My biggest worry is how to make it all sturdy enough for gaming...

With the FW stuff, I also got my Strike cruiser. Some of the bits were slightly miscast, but nothing that worries me, so I´m assembling it. I havent decided whether to go for standard =I= ship, Deathwatch, or even converting it to a Blood Angel ship... We´ll see.

As far as my own sculpting goes, I´ve been working on this guy for a while, and he is finally getting somewhere close to where I want him, in appearance.
He´s going to be a fleet officer, for our =I=Munda campaign. So I´m giving him the classic fancy coat, with epaulets on the shoulders and a high collar. He´s also gotten a pair of holsters for pistols, and I think he´ll be wielding two Hellpistols in addition to his sword. As should be obvious from the pics, he has a bionic arm, I´m not entirely happy with this yet, I want to add a battery pack to the back of his coat, and have cables going to that. Oh, and I need to make the sword hilt more ornate too. So, still some work to do, but lots done as well.

And here, a glimpse of his personal aide, a Demiurg sworn to him after a fleet operation in which a Demiurg mining vessel was saved by the fleet group he was in. More on this later, and please note that this guy is EXTREMELY wip, he may not even get this upper body, or these legs. More of a test to see what I can do with these components.

Right, that´s all for now, I´m going to get back to sculpting, want to get some stuff done before I have to go to work tonight...
Comments and such is welcomed as always.

Thanks a lot, I´m still considering colors for him,´it´ll either be pure white for the coat, with gold details and lots of fancyness, for a dress uniform style. Or deep blue for the coat, and some subdued colors for the rest, depicting him with his service uniform.

We´ll see, I´m still looking at images from the web. I´m basing him loosely on officers of the line, from the 18th and 19th century. Slightly less pompous though...
