moonshine - I think there may be a lot of work to get those particular dalorks to work As to a batrep, that's pretty unlikely as I haven't played since RT days
MajorTom - Why thank you sir! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the stormraven.
CK - Thanks. I'm not sure of the show yet, but I can promise it won't be a 'reality' TV show
weety - Hmm, that's an idea. Tricky to get right I'd imagine Ideas for the scren at the moment are - just a big lens, a screen with an image of an eye on it, a cardiograph type affair, and now a staticy smiley.
Hadouken - It's on the list now
neil - A retro cookie for you, Dr Theolopolis was the basis there
weety - OK Buck.
Now off to the posties to get Sage's guy and weety's cars off to them. I do have some doors and a bonnet for the truck, but can't place them at the moment, no idea where they got thrown when I flooded, I'll send them on if I come across them, also I threw a few lego wheels of approx the right size in the mix.
edit : Missed as I was replying -
4The GreaterGood - That would indeed be awesome, just don't think I could pull off a worthy representation of Fonzy at that size
Zeke - Well, looks like I might have to do something with the dalorks then The models are from Media Collectibles, got a resin Emperor Dalek head and a white metal normal head, and a Hoverbout - some kind of hovering disc transport thigy that I don't really recall from the show.

The mechanicus guy looks fantastic! Have you decided on another arm for him yet? And I think the screen should have an imperial guardsman or something on it - he's trying to blend in!
In terms of the post thing, my internet connection is really dodgy, so I've learnt to hit CTRL-A and CTRL-C before I post - lost way too many wordy posts that way!

Scarper - Thanks. Nothing in the pipeline yet for him, although it won't be a flesh arm as I've already started on the face, absolutely no idea why I started painting him mid-build The guardsman is a cool idea, I'll keep it in mind if I get round to Kommandos. I always seem to forget to save my text, probably because I find the connection always drops whilst I'm flicking between gallery and reply, and so I need to paste the text elsewhere as the clipboard is having pic info put in it. And I'm too lazy to bother half the time ( like just now, the first time I tried writing this )
Big Mekk Dattrukk - Cool, if you do find yourself in a cranially-challenged state due to catastrophic cephalic combustion please feel free to drop by the workshop. Upzag & Grimsnik will be only too happy to help you find the right Gummidge for you.
weety - but I did forget to put in a mug order, so I'll PM you.
And now the star attraction, a finished mini. Now don't get too excited, you've seen it before, but now it has a shrubbery, err, sorry, wrong meeting, it now has a base.
Again, I'm pleased with how the chipping came out, slightly different technique this time, sponged on the bleached bone, then hand painted the granite. Went for a more reddy look to the building, wanted a break from the usual grey, but hadn't considered it was having a red mini plonked on top - not such a great combo. I may still go back and add some little details like graffiti and a bit of litter by the 'shelter'.
Nothing to do with cyborks, but I received my late christmas present to myself the other day, and I may as well show it here as It'll be an age till I start work on it, and Gork knows how long till I feel I can attempt to do a paint-job that will do it justice
A cowgirl on a dinosaur, how could I resist? Beautiful model, lovely detail, from Studio McVey.
Plus I got another of their pieces for possible use in an inquisitorial/rogue trader retinue (with guys for scale reference)

Good grief their are some brilliantly crazed conversions here. Really liking the speedster Ork Dragsta made from the Tau bitz reminds me of the old mekboy speedstas.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Looking good, and the reddish building doesn't detract from the mini IMO. Those female models are very nice btw, what company are they from?

neil - the details on the base are a couple of bits from the GW basing kit, no big effort on my part
Llamahead - Thank you kindly If any of the pieces remind you of some of the old-skool stuff then I'm a happy camper
c0un7 - Good to know I'm keeping the standards up
CK - Thanks. I gave the building a very light dusting of grey when I realised, but just for a change it looks worse in rl than in the pics. I briefly contemplated swapping this kopta for the landspeeda one, but then realised that it was even closer in tone to the building, so I left it. I don't think it's totally ruined it, but I should really have thought about it a bit more first. And the resin lovelies come from Studio McVey, limited edition resins so a bit pricey, but I couldn't resist.

neil - nope, it had tubs of resin pieces like the water bottle and shell casings, some different sized slate and a small etched brass sprue. They did a 40k and a WFB version, no idea if it's still being produced.
moonshine - obviously one of the episodes I've missed
CK - no problem
Been a bit windy this last week so not as much painting as I wanted to do. Also seem to have lost the box I was looking for with some doors and bonnets for weety. Which just so happened to be the box most of my ork sprues got clipped into. Frustrated? Oh no
So a quick glane at the 'ard boy with big shoota.
Was originally going to get a drum magazine, but tried that one and liked the look of it.
Put some base colours on the dread-trike.
And started on another buggy.
Haven't yet decided between a valk rocket pod or a home-grown multi-launcher.
Thanks for looking.

CK - no hard-wiring here, he's committed to a straight course now Well, I say no hard-wiring, his leg may be, but the steering's done the old-skool way in this buggy. Or was anyway. I'm thinking he may have a socket on his hip that plugs into the buggy, and he has his bionik leg in a little box next to him.
neil - Spider Jerusalork! Just imagine a grot on the loose with a bowel disrupter Although I obviously kept thinking Spider, Lord Kaesar has it right with having 3D spex "so's I can sees stuff in 3D innit".
LK - You have the right of it sirrah. It's an affection I think a lot of the boyz will have. Although at least one will get little black glasses as the head reminds me of Ozzy.
Moltar - Thanks, glad to be of service in these dry times
Scarper - Cheers, felt I needed a few more 'almost fixed' items about.
GMS nob for an00bis :
Needs a bionik eye to match the boss-icon and some glyph plates down the pole and some wires and gubbins on the back. The weapons are magnetised, as is the torso, but shh, that last bit's a secret

neil - At the moment, pretty much yeah
wyrd boy - that's actually the engine cover (?) from the old leman russ kit, before it was all one piece. Good pair of clippers needed for speaker mesh, bit sturdier than aluminium mesh.
CK - switched the single klaw with a buzz-saw part from one of the kan arms, space-puppy chain-swords for the double-klaws. I've opened one up further than the other, still need to sort a hinge-gubbins at the ends of the swords.
One more boy finished
That's 4 boyz totally* finished, 5 if you count the tankbusta as a rokkit launcher boy Half-way to a legal unit There's at least a dozen STILL awaiting their final detailing.
* looking at the pics I reckon the skin could do with another round of highlighting and some colour on the lip and nose.
