yeah I may have to create a new catagory for grot fighta as warmill lasercut it a 1/3 scale twice before realising there was a problem so I'll have my ork bomber and a pair of very similar grot fightas!

the grot fighta parts are sooo wee and tiny they're really cute. they're roughly one third the size well ish 2mm on the real one = 0.76mm on the grot ones.

Yeah they arrived just fine matey I'm soo looking forward to building them but typicaly as soon as you have the bits in your hand you see area's that can be improved changes to be made and problems with your design..... Ohhh well Just have to make do and mend for now.

I got like 5 Grot fighta-bomba, made from a Scoobi Doo Candy air plane toy. Just cut off Scoobi and add a grot, it has twin blastas and room or bombs/missiles on the wings and comes with a stand. Its hard to find my local Liquor store found it for me and I just modeled them and abuot to paint, they look great.

right so instead of you know just sorting the pieces and doing some more drawings and getting new stuff cut I couldn't wait so I started glueing this puppy together and at about 02:00AM I ran out of 5mm brass tube dandit Ohhh and I need more 2mm rod. why is the money always gone!!!

but the construction stage can be very pretty.

well the ork bomba / mega bomba is about 600mm long (2ft) and about 800mm wide (approx 2ft 8 inches)

So it should just be a final going over with rivets and then I think it's time for some colour. Well, a black undercoat at least.

ohhh if only I could get actual jet engines at 30mm diameter.... Hmmm maybe no no no I can't afford that but I am looking forward to getting the electrics in and buttoned up so I can add the skin. the only flying this thing will be doing is sitting in my hand while I make lame dakka dakka noises

How did you make that smoke trail monkey?

Flock on a stick

Just glue some grass flock to a bit of wire, do a few layers, building it up at the engine end. Old-skool stuff I used to use for gun flashes and missile exhausts way back when.

This is how far I've got with my supa stompa.



I have no idea why its sideways but in the thumbnail on my laptop its the right way up lol.

Sure, once I have a LOT of spare time . Both arms are magnetized, so I can swap out at will.

The angle doens't really show it, but it's poseable - and it's more like a chainsaw-powered PK . I'll agree it's jutting forward a bit, but with the posability of the whole arm that's OK in my book.
