Finally managed to get photos of my opponent's Scavvy gang - I didn't model or paint any of these guys:
This is more or less all of them as they currently stand.
Here you can see their damn scavvy dogs, perhaps the most fearsome part of the gang. The little guy with the big head is Brainulo, a hired gun Wyrd telepath, always trying to mind control my gang.
This is the leader - The Monarch and his two scaly henchmen. The Monarch tries his best to be evil but the rest of the gang often bungles things up for him. His finest moment was going on a Den Crawl, getting drunk and getting arrested by bounty hunters and having to miss 3 games. The scalies are pretty nuts, one has a strength of 7 making his discus pretty damn lethal.
We are currently planning an Ash Waste campaign (basically Necromunda but with vehicles) and my friend has started on his transports - the first is this massive beast:
Scavvies get their transports for half price but they all have one irreparable defect or injury. This giant beast is wobby giving everyone on it -1 to hit with their shooting attacks. Scavvies are BS2... they aren't going to hit much!
It can carry about half a gang, he also has a truck under construction and possibly some beast riders made from Cold Ones.

+1 I was also going to do that once I get around to put some of my ash waste plans to practice. Then again, it's not that much of a stretch converting it for that purpose. Great minds etc.
Cool new stuff all round. Like them all, but the nurgle lord I like best, lots of details that's usually good in my book.

but the nurgle lord I like best, lots of details that's usually good in my book.
I was hoping you would comment on the nurgle lord/Bull Gorg. He's coming on pretty well and I am quite happy with him so far but he still feels a little off to me. I have to do a whole load of cabling that I am not certain how to do around his hands and coming out of his head (the wire horns). Anything else you can see that I ought to look at?
I might keep this in mind when I get another of those urges to build a Squiggoth.
Maybe I just haven't seen it done but I am quite surprised that there aren't a lot of squiggoths using this basic idea. Or various other transports, judging by how many people commented that they were planning to do this.
I think it works well as a mutie beast, but if anyone has any tips on disguising the orky/ogre parts I think my friend would like to hear them.
and where did he find those dogs
Four of the dogs are from Malifaux, I can't remember where the bigger, grisly looking dog is from

If it's further commentary you're looking for, no problemo:
For the wiring I can only reccommend the tube tool from masq-mini. Or you bundle some 0,2mm wires and sculpt some clamps every few millimeters.
One thing you could improve upon are the edges of the shoulder pad, which looks to round/organic atm. You could either file the edges to look sharper, or add a trim.
Something I would change if it were my conversion is the design of the armor on the legs. Sure, he's a gladiator, but I picture him having a more futuristic, bulkier, less pointy type of armor.
Maybe adding something to his right side might help balancing him and making him look less off, as you say. The back is perfect imo, but the front is a little bland. Some more hints to his augmented nature, maybe an open wound with tubes showing through, or a small vent, cog or other technical detail.

Well spotted yeah, there are loads of good alternative miniature sources, I can understand why people stick to just GW stuff if they need to use it at a store or whatever, but well... we are never going to play in a store!
.... where are you in the UK?
In the West Midlands. We could probably use a few more Ash Waste players as we have, well, 2 at the moment. Got a few more Necro players at least.

I have to admit I was hoping you would comment at some point, the Jade Vessel thread was basically the push I needed to start doing all this stuff after leaving the hobby for 15 years. Glad you like my work.

Cool cool, I will redo his beard although it's actually quite tricky as in the JB drawing he really just has a very thin beard and it seems a bit excessive to even sculpt it at all, as opposed to just painting it on. I will have to play around with it.

In the US, the scene is dominated by Independent Stores. So we don't have the "Can't take our miniatures to the GW store" issue.

GW stores are strange places, like a cross between a shop and a creche. Not somewhere I ever really want to go. I've not found a local gaming club or independent store either, although I am not really looking for one.
Have you started work on your vehicles yet?
Yep, although I have so much to finish that they won't be completed for a month or three I'd guess. I've got a couple of bikers blutacked together, and a forgeworld Ork big trakk - this is what my Ash Waste Nomads will be cruising around in. Can't wait to get started on them properly, just got to get my desk a bit cleared first.
Spent a few hours on the big building tonight, listening to Judge Dredd audiobooks at the same time after the comment about it looking quite Mega-City One. Judge Dredd features the best Necromunda stories around!

Do you print your own out on special paper or cut them out of masking tape or what? The last time I applied a transfer it was onto a plastic chaos dwarf's shield, I am totally out of the loop.

Using a color printer (inkjet or laser), there is special decal film paper. You print, seal, dry. Then cut them and apply them like regular ole' waterslide decals. Some caveats:
1) There is paper for inkjet, and paper for laser. DO NOT BUY THE WRONG ONE. Inkjet paper run through a laser printer will destroy the printer.
2) You cannot print white. If you want white decals or lettering, you have to paint the area white, and apply a decal that has been made to let the white 'show through'.
3) Print your own decals are not as bright/vibrant as commercially made ones. This can be handled by laying down two of the same decal in the same place.
