Sedition Wars : Battle for Alabaster is a fast paced tactical miniatures game for two players, developed by Studio McVey and published by CoolMiniOrNot.

Survival horror at its finest, game play is fast and bloody – creating urgency and claustrophobic terror, as the Vanguard fight for their very lives against an unrelenting nightmare.

Battle for Alabaster is the first part in the Sedition Wars game experience. Future expansions will introduce exciting new factions, evocative settings and expand on the compelling storyline that guides the action. Once players have fought for control of Alabaster, they will want to continue the adventure in future episodes.

Reinforcements! Each Biohazard level and above pledge gets an additional squad of 12 vanguard troopers thrown in for free! Time to contain that infection!

The Infection markers in all games will be upgraded from paper to plastic. If we hit this goal, we'll open a tool for these nifty tokens and improve Alabaster immensely for everyone! This is a great, super clear design to show which of the Vanguard are suffering the early stages of nano-infection! We're sure you'll agree, much snazzier than putting a paper chit on the base. Also upgraded will be the Nano counter, which doubles as an objective marker.

If we hit this stretch, every game will get a horrific alternate sculpt of a Phase 1 Strain model. If you didn't have a reason to keep firing before, you sure do now!

What better way to celebrate having a cool new Strain sculpt than to haveTWELVE additional Strain models? Every Biohazard set gets this additional pack of the horrors if we hit this stretch goal!

Barker Zosa packs a mean punch with his massive Pulse Cannon. Sometimes, it's ok to blow a hole in the side of a ship. That's when you give Barker a call! If we hit this stretch, every game gets tooled up with this great heavy weapons specialist!

Quarantine Campaign! Everyone gets a great downloadable campaign that will make use of all the additional figures released for the Biohazard set! Play a massive 70+ miniature battle climax!

Everyone one loves dice right? Every Biohazard set gets a 6 custom Sedition Wars dice! 3 sexy Vanguard dice and 3 Strain dice!

Mmm... it appears the good doctor wasn't as healthy as she first appeared! Or is this an insidious copy designed to sow doubt and despair amongst the Vanguard?
If we hit this stretch, every unit of Dr Ridley will ship with a Strain infected version of her! Ships at the same time as Dr Ridley!

Each Biohazard set will get FOUR extra Phase 3 Strain models, 2 each of the Scythe Witch and Brimstone! I hope those Las-Carbines are fully charged....

If we hit this stretch, every Lights Out campaign pack gets an additional glow in the dark Scythe Witch and Brimstone and a Opticamo Kara and the rest of the characters! (Don't have shots for the Opticamo characters yet, but you get the idea).

If we hit this stretch, Mike and Ali will put together a short painting tutorial to get your Battle for Alabaster miniature windfall into decent shape! Every Biohazard set will receive a DVD (region free) with a short tutorial specifically for this Kickstarter. Depending on space limitations, a HD version you can play on your computer will either be included or downloadable.

The ever popular AI Drone gets a buddy! If we hit this stretch, every Biohazard set gets another Drone! Infect this nanofools! Comes unassembled and unpainted.

If we hit this stretch, every Biohazard set gets a sweet additional Grendlr, tentacles and all! Personally I think this is one of the most horrific sculpts in the game, and it can't hurt to have two!

If we hit this stretch, it looks like Mr Banks won't make it off this tub after all. Every one who purchase Niven Banks gets his Strained version free! Ships the same time as Niven.

The Cthonian is such a cool model... but he's (it's?) a character right? You can only field one of him (it) right? Every Biohazard set will get another Cthonian model free, as well as a stats card to play the model as a Construct Assault Drone, slaved to the Cthonian! He (it?) won't be as infectious or as smart, but he'll (it'll) be just as shooty!

If we hit this goal, it looks like Ramirez didn't quite detonate that grenade in time. Get a free Strain version of Ramirez with every Ramirez! Ships together with the Sarge in March 2013.

For all you AI Drone lovers out there, you should get a huge kick out of this one.The large AI Drone actually carries quite a large load out of smaller drones. In the game, these are represented by cardboard counters. But, since all of you have been so great, if we hit this stretch every Biohazard set will get a set of 6 baby drones free! Ships March 2013 with the rest of the new sculpts. Aren't they adorable?

If we hit this stretch, every copy of Dr Hexen will ship with her evolved version free! Ships together with Dr Hexen in March 2013.

The Bonecrab attacks by latching on to a living victim and spiking nano-tendrils into its host. This invasive parasitic attack leaves the victim helpless while the creature seizes control of the his motor functions. Once the victim is absorbed into the Strain construct, the Bonecrab detaches, and moves on in search of new prey." Every Biohazard set gets 6 of these skittering horrors if we hit our stretch! Ships in March 2013, unpainted and unassembled. And yes, there are rules for these things.... brrr...

Complete the crew of the Calamity! If we hit this stretch, Phoenix and Delta join the Cap in his (mis)-adventures on Alabaster Station! They'll ship the same time as the Captain and XO and are free with every set of the Mercenary Crew!

And so... the end is near. We therefore present you the violent, dangerous, mysterious, Keegan Kor! If we hit this stretch every Biohazard set will have Keegan lurking within! (You'll need to paint and assemble him though, if he'll let you).

If we hit this stretch, every Biohazard set gets Iron Lily! She may be a little squishy without her THI carapace though... (hint hint). And not to worry, if we don't hit this stretch she'll be available in the CKPM as an option!

Vanguard forward operators often find themselves adapting to "close encounters." Akosha has decided to switch up to full kick-murder wetwork gear! Ready to get surgical on some Strain mutant freaks? She is. Every Biohazard set gets the battle damaged version of this deadly cyborg if we hit this stretch! Ships March 2013, unpainted and unassembled.

If we hit this stretch, every Biohazard set gets Gnosis armored Kara free! Ships March 2013, unpainted and unassembled. And not to worry, Kara will still come out for a spin if we miss this stretch, and will be available for $25 in the CKPM if we don't hit it!

Optional Items

In sculpting now, and expected to ship in March. Dr Ridley is promotional figure and will be available only on Kickstarter and at conventions.

By popular demand, we're working on some solo play rules. There'll be a scenario where Vanguard infiltrators with optical camo are attempting to get to an area of the station that has lost power. The only kink in the plan, of course, are patrolling Strain guarding the module! Playing as Vanguard, avoid a firefight as long as you can; get in and get out, like a whisper in the wind....

So, if you're going to be sitting home alone, in the dark, what about some cool optional figures?

"Killed in action while fighting Firebrand rebels in the Salazar interdiction, Niven Banks, Tech Officer 1st class was uploaded to a battlefield transponder. Under severe viral attack, the transponder suffered catastrophic failure while parts of Banks persona were still reaching engrammatic resolution. Safety interlocks failed due to a Firebrand virus in Vanguard systems and Banks resuscitated to re-enter the battlefield while suffering a massive psychotic break. Combat triggered hallucinations led to a lethal friendly fire incident involving nine other Vanguard."

On permanent hazard duty, Niven was "lucky" enough to be doing external maintenance in standard issue space armor when the outbreak occurred. Now armed to the teeth with whatever he's managed to jury rig, Engineer Banks is going to do anything it takes to get off this &@^#(!ing station!

Get Niven for $10! This version of him will only be available during this Kickstarter and at conventions. We have big plans for the character though, expect to see more of him later! Expected to ship March 2013.

Reminder, you don't need this to play the game, but since some of you asked for it....

An extra set of every tile in the game. Since they are double sided, a 2nd set will allow you to lay out map with every single unique design! This pack is just for the really dedicated gamers/hobbyists out there and is not necessary to enjoy the Battle for Alabaster.

Sergeant Ramirez is as tough as they come, and an ace with the Reaver support weapon! Laying down accurate and thunderous suppressing fire is a specialty. Just don't talk back to the sarge! Enlist her for $10. Ships March 2013. Available only on Kickstarter and as a convention promo.

Brilliant, beautiful, and utterly merciless Dr. Hexen Phaedrus is a specialist in nano-technology and neural interface systems. A key researcher at the Alabaster Science facility, she has advanced knowledge of how the Strain nano-phage works, and a desire to see it contained and controlled. Oddly enough, she seems immune to the infection herself, due to safeguard nano-tech she developed. Despite her co-operation and her willingness to accompany the Vanguard through the facility, her directions and information seem almost intentionally confused. Could she be steering the Vanguard towards a brutal confrontation with the Strain? And what purpose would that serve? Unravel her mysteries for $10, ships March 2013 (unpainted and unassembled).

Now Captain Ian Reins, his XO Bella Grange, enforcer Phoenix Corbett, and the mysterious and deadly pilot Delta Chen have found themselves caught between Vanguard forces and slavering mutants intent on infecting them with some kind of nano-virus. Still, the crew has dealt with misfortune before, and they intend to get out of this bit of worry like they always do... intact, alive, and broke."The Captain and his lovely XO will glady report for duty for paltry $20!
