So, yesterday I spent some hours painting my Shasvastii with different colours in order to find some colour scheme that I liked. However, nothing struck me as nice enough...
So I figured I'd ask you guys here!
The colours I was using yesterday was Sunburst Yellow, White, Black, Stegadon Scale, Zandri Dust as well as some brown and green... But I couldn't find anything I liked.

So, do you have any ideas?

Any pics of what you have done? What didn't you like about the colour combinations you tried? Do you know what effect (other than colours) you are trying to go for - bright and colourful, muted and camouflaged, alienesque, other, some combination?

A bit more information would be helpful unless you just want random ideas?

I'm after at least one bright main colour. Like yellow, bright red/green, white or something like that. But I don't want them too clowny...
And I'm not sure what I didn't like. The colours just didn't fit in the combinations I tried out.

I believe what I'm trying to get is a scheme where they are mostly muted and/or cold colours, but with one 'screamy' colour that makes them pop... If that makes any sense.

I usually start out with one color you really like for say the armor. then find the complimentary colors to go with.

On my Shasvastii it was the armor and base that influenced me. I had bought these swamp bases so i wanted colors that looked "swampy". I went with natural colors to look like they are blending in with the swamp.

Well I assume that you are not into the color schemes used by Corvus Belli, so here is something different.

Black skin, possibly glossy.
Blue bio-luminescent stuff.
Bright yellow armor.
If you want less bright, make the armor more subdued like dark silver metalic.
