You know, for all the trouble I've had in experimenting and learning how to do camo, I've really grown to really like painting it. Wish I had a force I could use it on... Gonna have to figure out some crazy project in the future

@JoshInJapan: Thank you!! The OTL guys will be happy to hear that. These guys are very much their love letter to Super Sentai, as much as EFT as a whole is one to turn based RPGs of yore. If memory serves, there are plans to round out the team with two additional members- VikingBlack and VikingYellow!
@Archer: Thanks man. I knew that I wanted to bring a little extra color to the model, and that fit the bill. I really loved how the studio guys at CB did the display model, so I tried to emulate it in this particular color scheme. Silly to have so many glowy bits as a sniper, but I gotta say it looks pretty damn cool!

Alrighty guys! Update time!
NORDIC TASKFORCE VIKINGER!!!
These were a particular joy to paint and were surprisingly educational! Think this is some of the best NMM gold ive managed, and the swords were a learning experience as well. Not quiiiiite what I wanted, but they'll do
So I'm off to Reapercon in a few hours- currently frantically packing all my gear and clothes! If you're in the Dallas area, come on by and say hi
I'll try to take some pictures and do a mini update from there...

Hello from Reapercon!!!
Quick mobile update from day one.
I'm not ill, so already a plus from gencon.
Lots of incredible painters here... I'll have to go down artits alley and snap some pics... one painter had this statue of Tiamat that I reeeeally want!!

Also got a tour of reaper hq. They were having some casting issues with trophies, so they had Justin from secret weapon come in and Em from OTLG came along... me being a perpetual third wheel tagged along for the fun of things!
Damn is this place big....

Got a silver award for painting for the Dark Knight I painted a while ago for otl. Was not expecting this.... honestly wasn't going to enter cause I didn't have anything special prepared... then Em pushed me to enter that mini....

Just think if you pushed yourself for an entry like you did for the model you did up for your studio painter job interview. I think if you can swing the time before adepticon, you owe it to yourself to go.ham on another such model or squad.

That medal you got was well-deserved! Your painting is always excellent and gives me something to aspire to and enjoy watching via this thread. Those Nordic Taskforce Vikinger minis are really cool, kinda what daughters of a Viking and a Power Ranger would look like!

Checking in real quick here- Back from Texas and ready for more painting! But before that, I have a lot of catch-up to do at work, so might be a day or two before I get any progress to show!
Will try to do a bit of a retrospective from the trip for you guys as well- Not terribly many pictures, though. Much of my weekend was running demos and just talking, but I think I picked up a thing or two... I definitely have some new toys to play with, jsut gotta wait on them to arrive in the mail!! (Blasted tiny suitcases!)
