Alright, a point of contention. How much, for want of a better phrase, "grimdark/less happy stuff" do we like in out fiction, etc? I'm thinking about things to do with the show, and know some people abhor it, some like the balance it adds to an otherwise bright fluffy world. I can see the argument from both points of view, and was wondering what people here thought. And also how dark I could get with the codex.

I'm not too fussed but I find the whole grimdark thing a bit meh, there needs to be some hope or some light at the end of the tunnel IMO, you cant just have everything going to gak lol

Oh god, Hamley's was awful. No blind bags, and they were selling brushmane ponies for £9, whereas I can buy them for £5 at the Sainsbury's on the way from the station. That is exactly what I did. One thing they did have was Twilight's balloon, a set in which she has a show-accurate mane, which is surprising for brushmane. It also includes Spike, so I may have to get that once I have money.

Finally getting my Internet fixed today (hopefully) but the repair tech called to say he was running late and wasnt sure when he'd get here...

Yeah, I'm after the balloon too, it'll be somewhat necessary for the RPG I'm making, as will Spike. I'm tempted by the show accurate Twilight, I may keep her accurate and make the one I already have into future Twilight. Who I did buy, was Applejack, and seeing as I already have her, I'm going to get some doll hair from ebay, and make a custom Carrot Top

I was about to ask how you were using that balloon to cut/weld power lines, then I remembered you're a Brit and you use the wrong words for things. =P

English schools are verry strict on thier internet usage but there can be ways around it. at my school we could change one setting on internet explorer and totaly bypass any form of internet block, whereas at mt college the only things that are blocked are things i would never want to see. even EQD is unblocked and that single handedly destroyed any level of productivity i would have had otherwise.

best way round it, go to google translate and put in the web page you want and translate it from french to english and it should bypass the filter.....should :3 it worked for me for a while untill the school's admin got sick of everypony wasting time on newgrounds lol

Liquidjoshi Have you tried putting an "s" after the http? It's how everyone hacks the internet filter at my school.

putting an "s" after the http could work but i know for a fact it will destroy the conection speed as thats a totaly differant kind of page encryption but chances are that it may not work because the school will ban the sites ip address and not the HTML. the schools filter should be pretty badass and incredibly watertight.

the way that they find sites to block is through high trafic and url checking im guessing it was banned since there is the word "games" in the title and im asuming that you were constantly on it or a high number of people in your school were on it
