I think this is new? I don't recognise it anyway.

I think the Savage Orc looks great! I am really enjoying the new plastic character kits they are making.

Savage boss and gobbo shaman are new.

Everything has also taken a hike in price except the usual triple packs of monsters.

Terradons, krox and carrions take a small drop in price.

Edit: those 2 characters are plastic too, so allways nice quality

Pricing is funny though.
Slann and kroak are fairly small, but £30
Things like the screaming skull and cauldron of blood are only £24, and they are big warmachines with crew.
Go figure. (no pun intended)

The first two are the new models, LOOK GREAT!

Anyone else surprised the gnarly cave squigs made it to finecast? Those boys are olllllllllllld and I thought replaced by the more snake-looking squigs but they seem to be liking the round squigs again in new designs.

And they slipped one of the old squig hoppers in to make a 5-pack! I wish they would have updated the sculpt on the face if they were gonna recast.

Looks good, I already have like 100 cave squigs but finecast great cave squig gives me some conversion options I didn't have when he was metal.

The old gnarly squigs should be ok in finecast.
The only issue that ancient models have when going into finecast is join issues.
Since they are single piece, i think they may be ok.

Dont plan on updating my squigs to FC though since i have a unit of 50 hoppers and a 50 herd.
Not to mention 3 mangler squigs with weight and balance issues. (some things should not be FC)

Also, nice spotting on the hoppers pack nkelsch!
Didnt notice that one until you said.
Could have atleast painted it in to match rather than photoshopped it in lol.

Savage ork looks amazing, might have to buy one just to paint.

What I dont understand is why they give the finecast treatment to so many of the old bad sculpts, for me things like the tomb scorpion and giant look so awfull, just make a new sculpt, not just make them in some bad material and charge twice as much.

Yay, more plastic characters

I wonder if GW is waiting on 6th for 40k ones though? Its been what, almost a year now of plastic fantasy lords and heroes?

You would have thought that GW have seen how well the plastic characters have taken off and gone mad making them.

I honestly think that some of the best new sculpts are the plastic characters.

Basically Witch Elves, Black Guard and Executioners will be about £80 for a unit of 20? Sheesh, who'll buy those exactly? I don't normally have an issue with the good old price rises but it seems a little excessive to me really.

Let's hope that's the reason. Unlike Finecost, these single-frame plastic characters are an excellent step forward for GW.

I agree entirely.

The new models look phenomenal, I love the scenic bases provided on the sprues. Well done, GW.

Crap! I meant to buy Morathi before she was finecosted. I spent my gaming allowance on new PP stuff. :sighs:

My girlfriend built a horde of 50 witches on ebay and it cost about $100. If she got them new now it would be $330 plus tax.

That's almost three 25pt armies plus rule book at privateer.

Good news. This is the best time in the hobby. Full of promise. GW lets us down each time and we know it but secretly we're hoping that this is the edition that GW gives us a balanced game that can also be played competitively at tournaments. I'm loving it.

Savage Orc Bigboss is just awesome; excellent pose and sense of motion. The gobbo is well done as well, though naturally he's less dynamic than the SOBB.

Don't play any of the armies getting new Finecast, but all three are represented in my group so good for them.

I also agree that GW needs to expand it's selection of plastic lord/hero models. They're very well done, allow for customization of the units MEANT for customization and give options beyond horrendous old models (looking at you metal Warlock Engineer...). I'd love a new Warlock Engineer, though the IoB one is pretty good.

Anyone notice on the What's New blog about these new releases, they reference "an intriguing video?" Can't seem to find any video except the Bill King interview.

I love those two new greenskins, the savage boss is absolutely brilliant. I might get both of them just to paint seeing as I'm finally starting another army.

Not so bothered about the rest.

Still didn't make squigs any cheaper. Why don't they just come out with a plastic box with about 10 figs in it, for about 30 bucks?

I can't find the 'intriguing video' either. I thought it might be the one with the author, but the 'what could it be about' tends to disagree with that possibility.

This really came out of nowhere

I don't think I have ever seen plastic O&G's being rumoured. Is this the first time GW managed to keep something completely secret?
