So, am I the only one who actually tries to play Dreadfleet or is it forgotten?

Also

Which ship is your favourite?
Should GW make it a specialist game and realease more ships to nake a Fantasy version of Battlefleet or something?

I think the problem is that it doesn't really lend itself very easily to the nature of pick up and play board games. What I mean by that is, the wife and I can break out Space Hulk or HeroQuest for example and have a quick couple of games in 2 hours max with the minimum of faffing about setting things up, reading rules etc etc.

Dreadfleet is somewhat different - the wife and I played the opening scenario with just two ships and gave up after 2 hours unfinished. It seemed extraordinarily difficult to sink either ship (granted, we may well have been playing incorrectly). That leads onto another point; I'm not sure if it is just me but I found the rules to be a little too long and complex for my liking - I was constantly flicking through the rules book trying to interpret stuff as we were playing.

I find that it works great as a "party game". Everyone gets a ship. Deathmatch. Go.
