Subject: Antenocitis Workshop - A good company

Hello DakkaDakka,
I read about Antenocitis workshop first on Dakka Dakka and looked at their products. The items that they sell are great for making scenery so I placed a nice sized order. I must say that they shipped very fast and I was very happy with the items I did receive. The quality of the items I received are very good and will be put to good use. Unfortunately some of the contents of the package were missing. The parcel they sent the products in was an envelop with bubble wrap inside. Australia post had placed a sticker on the envelope saying that the package was received in poor condition and had been repackaged by them.
I received 14 of the 19 items ordered. The missing items included 4 mini’s and one turret. The mini’s weren’t really the correct scale so I am not to concerned in the long run, however the turret was 1 of 2 for a project and now I am at odds on how to finish my project (Two Hydras and one turret ). I have ordered a lot from other companies in America, England and Europe and my products have always been sent in cardboard boxes (sometimes the boxs were worse for ware) but all items have always been present every time. Cardboard boxes are far more appropriate for shipping to Australia and most companies understand this (it’s a long trip).
.
I cannot say for certain if the items were not packed or lost during shipping but I did not receive all the items that I ordered. There was a check list inside with all the items as being ticked off so I am reasonably certain they must have fallen out due to poor packaging somewhere between here and Australia. It is rather upsetting considering that this is the first order I have placed with Antenocitis workshop (I dare say the last too).
I contacted them via email and asked if everything was shipped from their end and if it was do I simply just lose my models if they were lost to rough treatment by Royal Post? That was over a week ago now and I have had no reply. The cost of the missing models was roughly 10 pounds (or $15 Aussy dollars) so I am not really bent out of shape about it. What really annoys me is that they didn’t even respond to my email and leaves me with the impression that they don’t care. Email was sent to customerservices@antenocitisworkshop.com and I had a read receipt so I know it was opened (So it didn’t fall through the cracks).
I order a lot of products from various retailers however they have lost me as a customer because of bad packaging and no customer service. I understand that it is hard for small companies in the global market to make a buck and I am not going to go after $15 worth of stuff when it’s only the turret that I really needed anyways. I guess I have just been really lucky to avoid having never had anything go missing in the mail before now.
Anyways I just wanted to share my experience with the community and warn others about the service I receive from this company.

Well first off one email isn't a good way to try and contact someone. It could have been filtered out rather easily. Second your email sounds like it was just on the wrong side of rude. It is more professional on your part to simply explain what happened and wait for them to respond with what they will do for you. It isn't a good idea to ask "if it was do I simply just lose my models if they were lost to rough treatment by Royal Post".
Try calling them or posting on a forum they might actually visit like TMP or Frothers.

I've used Antenociti's many times and without issue. I will say ordering from Aus increases the likelihood of something going wrong, especially as far as packaging is concerned - sending stuff from one side of the world to the other is not anything like as reliable as you think it might be, without spending a lot of money on courier services (UPS, DHL etc.)
They are only a very small company, and as I said they have always given me good service and even emailed me to say there would be a slight delay on one of my orders. I would try and call them (use Skype or similar for a very cheap international call) and at least give them the chance to sort things out, and put the same amount of effort into trying to rectify the situation as you have in making this rather large post about them!

Email is how I have chosen to respond simply because it would cost more to call them directly than I spent on lost models. Most business I deal with are very proficient with emails and handle them accordingly. Like I have said in the post above, I have bought from many mimi companies and have had sucessful email correspondence with almost all of them.
I guess one could look at asking ‘what happens now’ as being rude and other may not. Good customer service responds to their customers regardless. I was not been threatening or accusing them of ill propriety and feel that I was not rude to them in any way.
I posted this on this site because this is where I first heard of them. There products are very good and I am no way upset with their product. The items will be used on 40K conversions and scenery. I am sure I am not the only person who likes to build scenery from different suppliers. If anything, I am sad given the experience that I am now unwilling to order through them as their products are great. I am not trying to reach them via this forum and just wanted highlight my experience with them and what happened which I am now regretting posting. I often take note on the experiences that forum members have with mini companies and have learned a lot about the various productsavailable in the market. Its one of the many reasons I like Dakka so much.
@ NoBacon
No you were right it does read a lot better now.

They might have been out of some of the items you bought, and needed to produce more of them. This was the case with an order I made with them a while back. They notified me ofthis via email and I received the item a few weeks later.
Maybe they just forgot to email you or are swamped right now. Keep emailing them.

I ditto what Pacific said.
The one time that Anetonicit sent me a wrong item, I rang them up and they put a correct one in the post the same day. Their packaging has always been fine.
Obviously I am in the UK so it is easier. The point is that Antenociti are not a bunch of don't care arseholes.
Make a polite complaint to Antenociti. Scan the Australia Post sticker and attach it to the email. Antenociti can claim from the PO at this end, so they should have no worries about sending you the missing parts.

That's some really good advice and will look to scan the sticker and envelop and send another email.

Ohhh I agree that if they got your email they should respond what I am trying to tell you is that whenever you email someone you have never emailed before there is a very high chance that their spam filter didn't let your email through. That is why calling is your best bet.
And you should always simply inform someone of the problem and see what they suggest first.
The reason you should post on some of those other websites is because he might actually see it. This site is rather small and essentially only focused on 40k which he does not cater to so you will have better luck if you go there or frothers.

Same here, they're a very small business and from what I've seen of them, I've been very impressed. I think sending them one email with no follow-up and then trying to "warn people off" because the postal service chewed up the envelope is not very well considered and not really deserved. Sending a package to Australia is already very expensive, without having to package some bitz up in a box, but I'm sure they will do it for you in future for accordingly higher postal charges.
If anything, you can join the ranks of people, both personal and business, who despise Royal Mail. One of the places I worked, we had to replace an order every other month or so, at our own cost, because Royal Mail simply lost the box and trying to get money out of them for non-received goods is like wringing blood from a stone.

One of the better companies to order from in my experience. I am sure you will get sorted out, certainly try contacting them again.
You could also post a "Antenociti please contact me" thread on TMP, I bet you would get an answer.

Caveat Emptor Friends.
Apologies for resurrecting this thread but it has just been bought to our attention by somebody.
Can you please let us know your order number and/or name?
I've taken a look back through all customerservice@ emails to us from the date of this forum post to the beginning of may but cannot see anything relating to your order, however, without hainvg a email address, name or order number to go off such a search is by no means guarenteed to work.
If you can let us know those details I will look into it further for you; we certainlly are not in the habit of leaving people with un-answered emails or unresolved problems, so please drop us an email or PM and I can look into this for you.

I got a reply so I am very happy as the though I was being ignore was the main issue I had.
I will buy again from them however in smaller batches because I am so not a fan of Royal Mail.
Their products are really exeptional IMHO
Just heard back that the email was received but fell through the cracks which happens to everyone from time to time.
They will send the turret I need to finish my Hydra project.
All is well in the world.
Thanks Antenocitis Workshop

Might consider changing the thread title if you still can. A lazy person might simply read your initial post and get the wrong idea regarding the final disposition of your problem.
They do some really nice figures (if you need some civilians for Infinity games - they are hard to match), and the service I have had from them has been excellent.
