I was hoping you guys could help me find any female tau (anime or not) models that I havn't found in the pictures. I have looked at about 15 threads on them, and these were the only real pictures I could find. If you guys know any pictures of the real models or of sketches I would appreciate you tossing em' on the thread. Thanks much in advance!
Do I have it right that the heads pictured are custom and not even 40k but taken from other anime stuff ya? Does anybody know a place to buy anime girls the size of tau models?

Resin Printer (minaitures) is a 4K printer with one of the largest build volumes available for a resin printer (192mm x 120mm x 245mm) with an amazing .01mm resolution! This professional printer is one of the best resin printers on the market!
FDM Printer (terrain) also has one of the largest build volumes available for an FDM printer (400mm x 400mm x 450mm) and has an amazing ,05mm build accuracy.
Obviously nobody here likes anime???... and lost their humor gland :( anyway, like I said, "anime" so ya, they got boobies. Yay boobies! I don't care if they are tau accurate, I never liked making my models to the mold, I like making my models stand out (ice blue everything marines).

1.) The first sketch and last model were the first attempts in that scale AFAIK.
2.) I am not aware of any evidence that female Tau don't have boobs. Even the book Xenology with its dubious pic says, that Tau are anatomically almost identical to humans.
3.) Zealot Miniatures has conversion parts that make excellent female Tau heads and upper bodies for all your anime needs :

Here's the thread (though from another forum) which covers the making of that anime Tau. She is purely GS
yay yay, thanks!

Personally, I'd have to say it's easiest to just go with Kroothawk's link to zealot miniatures. They look pretty good for what you're wanting.

I would also like to thank all those crazy gamers with too much money to spend that buy hundreds of the same marine models, paint them different colours and pretend they are different armies. You are the heroes upon whose backs the future of GW sales is assured.

totally agree, with that and my greystuff, I think I can throw a sample together as soon as I get my hands on some fire warriors.

Why would one need any putty? They sell heads and bodies, both of which can be slapped on the FW parts with minimal effort.

I would like to show more skin on the models' bodies than what the torso bits are, and maybe some wild hair styles.

That pict could have drawn by anyone, not necessarily a Japanese artist. Also those kinds of pictures has been present as long as there has been RPGs and fantasy stories, so putting all the blame on Japan and anime would be wrong. Anime just happens to be the main outlet for it atm though it varies by product. Female armor tend to be curvy in anime but doesn't necessarily show any skin.
Ps: I'm not a Japanese national, I just live here.

as someone who's attempted this(I seem to be one of the few people around here that have the "humour" gene :3), tau don’t look great in boob armour, at least not converted from fire warriors :/ I would pick a slimmer torso, the legs and arms are fine, it's just the torso that has too much bulk
as you can see the boobs were too big to begin with but the bulky armour didn’t help, also the zealot head looked too small :/ I have her painted up now so I’ll post a pic later
Thinking about it, hasslefree minis do some great female armatures that you could use as torsos.......

Its false, just because one doesn't like what you do does not mean they have no humour.
you're also false....you said ponies and skimpy armour are not funny yet I find them funny as do others so how can they not be funny? also, I am one of the people on here who have humour......so how is that false?....... some of us seem to have more humour than others and some have less, you clearly find a GK using a sisters head as a hat funny but there might be some on this forum who don’t find it funny or others like me who maybe find it more funny than you.......
I think you misunderstood my first comment and took it as an attack rather than a casual joke regarding how up-tight people on this forum seem to get if you alter their man dollies or maybe take a jab at their sense of humour…….

She might have shot him do death then beheaded him.
She definately shot him to death then beheaded him, only concievable possibility lol!
Oh and people being serious when they discuss humor is hilarious lol, glad you guys ended up being friends hehe.

I saw that pic and tat is the reason I am making custom greystuff torso's, slapping boobies on armor makes them look like grocery bags fills with water baloons lol (no offense to ur model of course). Though the boobies may look better if they are given good support and are in a more ovalish and smaller shape like that second pic.
