Recieved my gamers edition today only to open it and discover bits missing. The rule book and dice where there but the satchel was missing.

I've contacted GW about the problems and they said they're waiting for stock from the US. Any one else had this problem?
Apparently they'll contact me tomorrow but I can't say i'm impressed, I had it on preorder from release day there should be no excuses for this really.

If I were you though, I would take the gamers edition down to your local GW and show the manager. Hope this is useful.

I have heard the same from a league mate and the response is similar. Basically, wait and you'll get it is what GW said. It's BS....

I'd consider it "news" that GW is shipping "Gamers Editions" without everything, especially since it seems apparent its happening to more than just the OP.

It is called "News and Rumors" not "Anouncements and Rumors".. not everything is a press release or leaked info.

Really? I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else. Plus, as the OP is asking for help regarding his situation as oppose to presenting a post that is primarily news I would argue that this would probably be better for Dakka discussions or possibly 40k general discussion.

Ok, didn't see that. But surely if a post regarding this already exists then this can't really be classed as news, more a duplicative thread. Do you have a link?

I hadn't asked for help, merely if anyone else had had the same experience. That way I would know if this was an isolated incident or a broader problem with GW stock.

Ok, fine, maybe I phrased that badly. It appears that your question has been answered though, as there are other incidents of the same thing occuring as mentioned by aka_mythos and Grundz.

There may be a problem with the Gamers edition stock.
I just received a mail that there was some error with my order and that they cannot fullfill it which is quite a bummer :/
Luckely though i got a full refund and a free rulebook with a munitorum dice set which is nice though

There are apparently many issues with getting rule books. A group of us all ordered the Gamers edition from about 1hr after posting on GWs site through the following afternoon on Saturday. Some of us have received e-mails saying the order shipped from GW as normally the case, but no tracking information yet and still no product. I received this e-mail on 6/26, but still no tracking and product when routinely ordering from there triggers the tracking e-mail a few hrs after theirs. Some have not even received an e-mail yet. There are apparently some issues on their end, check the Faiet 212 Blog as there was a post about 2-3 days ago on it with 50+ comments that I had found.

Certainly news to me. This might explain why the FLGS hasn't received its copy of the Gamer's Edition yet, or will for that matter.

I fail to see the big issue on this. Have you ever bought furniture and found a pack of screws is missing?

I'm sure you will get what you ordered, a mistake has clearly been made and it always takes X number of days to sort something like this.

It is a big deal, people plunked down their hard earned money to preorder something special and GW is not delivering. This is a logistics mistake that a company as big as GW shouldn't be making. I've heard that some people's Gamers Edition Orders have been cancelled because of this gaff, and that's unacceptable.

Until then, I shall devour a thousand kittens daily in front of Warhammer World lighting the Astronomicon for FedEx until my copy arrives.

Even with a 99.9% success rate mistakes are still made. Ask NASA about the errors in the space shuttles.

I agree cancelling it is a big shame but the poster above stated they got a free book as compensation! that's not exactly bad customer service.

The OP has called GW they have said they are addressing the problem. Posting saying this thing should never happen is pointless. A company this size will always make mistakes, they all do.

I was gonna do the gamer's edition, but went with collectors.. guess I'm lucky .. fedex dropped mine off this morning wondering if I should go fake being sick so I can get outta work early. But since tomorrow is the 4th, the probably wouldn't believe me :(

As most of you know I don't have a whole lot of tolerance for NandR threads that are even slightly off-target, but I have to say I think this thread is worth keeping. A lot of people will be receiving their orders in the next few days and it will be good for them to know what the situation is and how to deal with it.

Although this could theoretically be a part of a great many 6th ed threads, I think shipping and production issues would derail most of them, so, I am inclined to leave this one here unless one of the other Mod's feels strongly about it.

Lordy knows I would be pissed to open my shipment and find no satchel if I had ordered the Gamers Edition... even if GW takes care of it right away, the fact you have to chase them is insanely annoying. They should have sent a note or email ahead of time informing people that it was going to be taken care of without them needing to do anything. That would have been annoying but acceptable... a little consideration GW....

No worries, everyone was just trying to do right by the community, either with the information or by sticking with the forum rules, no harm done!

I have no problem with the overall process of not getting something if there would be communication surrounding it. GW states on their website that Pre-ordered items ship the same day as release or the following Monday after release. I can fully understand about logistics issues, they happen, the problem ends up with an overall lack of communication. Even a mass e-mail to people that ordered the Gamer's Edition would be good at this point in time, so people knew they were experiencing some problems would be good. I sat on the phone for 35 minutes yesterday and no one had picked up the phone on their customer service, then had to get back to work. How long did I need to wait on the phone until I got a CSR to find this information out?

As I said, I have an e-mail saying it shipped on 6/26. I have just been waiting on a tracking e-mail. Saying it shipped means it SHIPPED. Not that it is on my dock, waiting for pickup. Fed Ex and UPS have a nice little notification if the information is entered into the computer to trigger an automatic e-mail from the shipping software saying your package shipped and here is your tracking number. Why the need for 2 different e-mails?

This thread along with the blog I mentioned are the only places I found that were able to help fairly quickly with regards to other people are seeing the same issues. It at least leads me to believe they are having an issue with the launch of the Gamers Editions. As of yesterday our FLGS still had not seen their shipment either.

Did you get the Servoskull holders?

My Gamers edition (ordered 5 mins after hitting the website) has been cancelled by GW due to probs, but has been refunded, replaced with a normal rulebook, dice and vouchers in compensation.

I'm annoyed that I've lost out, but gratified by the response. I wouldn't hold your breath on the satchel though.

Just saying that our local Indie store ordered 1 Collector's and 2 Gamer's edition. All arrived today with nothing missing.

If this had benen the launching of an MMO, it would never recover.

GW customers and fan bas are far more forgiving than pc gamers it seems. For better or worse....

I ordered mine (Gamer's Edition) through the website the first hour it was up as well. I still have nothing but frustration.

Saturday, June 23 - Placed order
Monday, June 25 - received email that it has been shipped
Monday, July 2 - called to find out where my rules are and was told that it has not shipped and my order is in the warehouse. Due to so much going on they cannot give me an idea when I might see it.

They are slowly updating the website but still have references to the 5th Edition book...

I pointed out a few more errors to the CS agent and I see they have updated them.

The wave of 6th Ed FAQs is great and Forge World is saying they will be done this week with theirs.

All in all, really disappointed I got shafted on my order and that they screwed retailers from having orders go through their stores. Hopefully the new rules will be worth the wait.

Anyone notice how much gamer's and collector's are running for on e-bay? I'm thinking that mine might just have to sacrifice for the cause.

It is nice they are doing something, but I think they need to do more. They need to make more items to fill these orders, as was promised. I'm waiting for mine, and that's fine. But I want the goodies, it's the special stuff that matters. They need to make good on this as it is their mistake, it doesn't matter if it's a mistake that only happens .01% of the time. Maybe I've come to expect more out of GW customer service due to my past dealings with them.

I'm a perfectly reasonable human being, aside from my kitten snacking, but I'm also a huge sucker for Limited Edition stuff. I want my manpurse for my toy soldiers! I won't settle for less, let other people roll over and play dead. I am on board with SickSix, if this happened in an MMO this would be suicide.
