Hello everyone,

With the new edition I am trying to come up with a list I would like to run. I always like the idea of speed freaks and have been slowing buying models to be able to assemble one. At the moment it seems I might actually be able to run one, question is can it be competitive?
I have not one, but 3 death stars units but the rest of the rest of the list is a bit overwhelming so I am not sure if it will work. What do you think?

The idea is to run the BW on the front with Big mek and burnas, the other one with Grotsnik and Meganobs for the invulnerable and fearless. Nob bikers are the hammer unit for back table targets and boyz for the scoring troops. The main problem I see with this is the lack of long range shooting. C&C more than welcome

I like alot and would really like to try it. Only trading in grotsnik for a warbike boss and the meganobs for some buggies.

This list is helpless against fliers like a new born babe. Look into lootas for that. Also those small groups of orc boys are really vulnerable to challenges, thereby loosing the nob.

Plus a unit of space marines with regular bolters can easily dispatch a trukk, preventing any assault on your next turn.

Both nob groups I think will be effective though I think the bikers more so.

I would drop the burna boyz and maybe one truck for lootaz. Lootaz are soooooo good in 6th. If you can get 2 squads of lootaz one can pop a transport and the other mows down the squad. Maybe drop the force field for a shock attack. With the lootaz poping transports the opponent is forced to make prefect pie plate bunches of troops for the mek.

Just forgot what I was going to say.

Your Nob Bikers already have Twin Linked Dakkagunz, no need to pay for twin linked shootas that they won't fire as well.

I don't write the rules. My ego just lives and dies by them one model at a time.

I agree that I will probably struggle with fliers have to look into that.
The ideas of the small squads is to always charge with at least two squads so only one nob is challenged while the other fights but I have to agree the trukk is quite vulnerable I just need to get into my opponents face on my first or second turn, plus they would be ran behind the BW so will get some protection.

I have to look into that tactic since lootas can now be used efficiently from a transport

Thanks for the heads up on that this is my first time trying to run bikers

Add at least 1 warboss on a bike. If he's running out front you can play wound allocation tricks again on the bikers, and they suddently become scoring.

Get 3xdakka jets...their is your AA right their and it's about as speed freakey as you could get.

I'd drop the Mega-nobs, and maybe the burnas/battle wagon to make points.

If your leaning more competitive I'd probably go 2x10 man nob biker units with 2xbiker warbosses backed up by 3 dakka jets. Spend anything left over on 5 man lootas, kannons, boy blobs in that order. Might be a little heavy on the bikers, and less so on the support, but I'd start their and playtest and drop bikers till you find the right balance.

I agree on the aa front; lootas or jets.

As for the list, I love the idea behind it. Meganobz got far better this edition, and battlewagons are always great

Last edition I would demand rocket buggies to kill tanks before you can get into base to base contact.
You may be ok now but you still will miss first turn charges, which means the enemy gets time to shoot you up, or move away or something. Whereas sometimes you need to down skimmers and shooty tanks at range before they run amok.

Then having just 2 battlewagons is a little light, I fear any 2000 pt enemy can have them blown up early and you are left with foot slogging burnas and MANz leaving just trukk boys to apply the pressure.

Anyway lootas and jets are awesome you should bring some
