Love the soot, are those pigments ? Only negative I see are the few mold lines, 1 on the claw and on the flat areas near the top of the kff. But... These may not be as noticible in person.

By soot I mean the dark powdering looking stuff, on the yellow, the base ect. Makes him look like he has been in the trenches for awhile. I dig it, just bought some pigments so I can try them on some vehicles and was wondering if that's how you achieved the look.

Holy balls. That vid was crazy I would LIKE to try something that advanced, but I think I would vomit my insides out while attempting it. Incredible work, its nice to see a painter that can pull off blends like that, and not use an airbrush. Im not knocking airbrushes or their users mind you, but I think it takes a bit more skill to do this with a brush then the airbrush. Definitely will be watching this one

Great video there!

The wet palette, the medium. All pro stuff there.
I thought you were using oil paints or something but just normal GW paints. Impressive

1 thing I have to ask you. How do you determine where you put your highlight area's?

I gotta say, that Dakkajet looks fantastic! The blending is very well done.
Quick question for criticism, if I may be so bold, but what is the reasoning behind making the rear so sooty? I would imagine someone could still see just a little bit of yellow back there.
Again, just a minor question, you're still doing a great job.

Thx! Yeah rear of the plane just simply hasnt been done yet. Tail will be last as I hold that area to stabilize while I paint.

Very nice, I like that you manage to keep the piece ''dark and dusty'' even with the bright ends of your colourpalette. Your hands must be fit to murder you though, that amount of wetblending is like taking a hammer to the sinews and joints in the fingers.
Keep up the nice work, I so enjoy to see talanted painters master my old enemy; Yellow.

I have a little hobby-thread going in the P&M section. Some say it's the best blog on Dakka, some don't agree, most belive it would be better if I finished at least one project some time this century and not just kept starting new ones.
Check it out, you just might like it.
