Love the new edition very cute indeed though I am waiting for the paint job to make finale verdict as all the bits and colours are distracting me a bit , I feel this one could do with a clock work K9 to retrieve the corpses as he has that country gent out for a bit of hunting feel to him

a mechdog...now that is a nice idea...i will have to do some research for that... that is why i love this board... mindtank all over^^...and thanks LDD...
and you are totally right... it kind of keeps me from really seeing it too...using not only white plastic makes it indeed hard to see the overall look of the mini...
well what would you like for your army?
- if you want furious assault robots go for khorn or BA - if you want intense close fire fight go for SW - if you want zealous robots that go forward every time somebody dies pick BT. which would be nice as you can mix and match robots in one squad although the rules for BT arn't perfect for robots.
- if you want long range fire fights pick vanilla marines
- if you want a lot of big robots with smaller robots go for vannila marines with techpriest and 6 dreadnoughts (big robots) or BA with all the dreadnoughts you can ever want.
- and then there a DA for which i don't have an idea
- and before i forget we have the GK but i can't think of any connection accept there silver, which is a metal, robots are build from metal, robots often appear to be silver.
that should cover everything. might i add that i would go for long range fire power with lots of techpriest, squads and thunderfire cannons.
the thing is robots have a lot of metal and with the back packs you gave them not a lot of people can disagree if you call them count as space marine
the banner is click able. it takes you to a magical country. if you don't believe me click and see for your self

that is a very indepth explenation...thank you sir... and all of these make sense... tho i have to say the BA idea strikes me of a very interresting idea... making even bigger robots as counts as dreads...i think that could be easier as i then could work not on such a small scale in the beginning...
and yep, those backpacks sure help to bring a count as SM look along...
at LDD... you did, you did... i already have quite a good picture in my mind how i want that doggy to look like...^^
the toes will see work as promised soon and also there is plenty of other work still needed with it... this is just the merest shapeing of the vessel...
thanks for looking....yours truly vik
wooden barrel boiler. is this based on the real life Stevenson locomotives?
transmission systems please. will it be 'shay geared' or will you connect the leg mechanism directly to the powering piston just like any steam loco?

have you considered making a flamer? or the greanadelauncher...
I didn't see this question yesterday.
I have been working on concepts for flamers and plasms guns, but original ideas are escaping me at the moment. And for a grenade launcher I've been thinking of something similar to the Vietnam era "Bloop" guns the US Army used. Like this:
For my own Steampunk force, I've been either trying to make them like Steam Guns (same template, but with Steam instead of fire- and high powered steam/water jets cut just as well as torches do- They're Burnas) or have a sort of small furnace near the nozzle as the pilot light.
GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

at ishkatar...
lol...yep...the whole concept is based loosely on the pinnochio theme... so yep...you are thankfully seeing the motivation behind the loud appearance^^
at anvil and jake...steam guns...as a sort of flamer stand in...good idea!... also one could muse about the idea of a waterpistol filled with acid? same effect really and even the look would be similar...
at hazzer...
yep...it is rather now almost like work getting online^^ so many threads are on my sbed list...and all are so important to me that i want to follow them closley...*wipes brow...*
at jake...love that thump gun...the M79 has a huge history...and i love seing it in movies and tv series of the `80s... nowadays they all use the dumb talon...the m79 had style and a nice "voice"...
at lone cat... that is an interresting question... i think anvil has some good ideas but i stll wonder how i can execute this rather simple plans into a convincing construction.... i am secretly thinking of avoiding the issue... maybe thats why i haven“t made progress for now due to that matter... if i leave that out, then i would hate me for ditching out on that one... i think i have to grow a pair and get on with it^^
at LDD...that dog is coming soonish... you certainly have sparked my ideacentre^^
Vik, you're at post count "9666"... I just noticed while listening to iron maiden's "number of the beast" too
but yeah, keep it up! Hut hut hut!

The automatons are great!
I like the new Vik! (I said it before, something has happened to you. Have you been abducted by xenos recently? The must have given you some extra time with the "creativity in plasticcard" anal probe...)

holy... baiyuan... now you are trying to lower our standards as we tried to do yours?^^ lol...anal probe... i am not cartman you know?
well it all started with a longing to make good models...but cardboard didn“t cut it... and my own suply of PC was somehow frustrating... then dave jumped in and got me the current beginning of my stock of PC...which has grown quite nicley...and the material is very good for such small projects...
i guess it is a case of:

Yep, I think it's just the plasticard that's made the difference - cardboard and junk is great for a variety of things, but adding the plastic to the mix has enabled you to get closer to your concepts.

that is the abolute truth... i like the carving and slicing of that material... it is a blessing to the projects...
cardboard is especially fine for large areas... i think i will sometime in the future revisit the cardboard for terrainmaking... there i think it has a great potential...
at shrike...well... i have lost track when the postcount started to explode^^
