We were given this exclusive set of information for Faeit 212. I am hopeful that for whatever reason the White Dwarf being pushed back does not mean that the release for August is going to be changing. With Chaos Marines just around the corner and Dark Angels on the very near horizon, this is the kind of schedule we dream about for our hobby.

An Exclusive for Faeit 212
A lot of stuff has been circulating recently and I really don't know where they're getting it from. I just wanted to sort of set some of it straight.

The next 4 major launches are 3 new flyers, Chaos Space Marines, the 6th edition starter set and Dark Angels.

The new flyers (1 of which being chaos) and the Chaos Space Marine book and initial waves are both done and in some cases even distributed to warehouses.

The current itinerary for release is New Flyers plus the Chaos book and half the models for August.

Then it's the other half of chaos plus the starter for September

Then it's Dark Angels and their ENTIRE new range in October.

It's a whole lot coming really fast and there's a little bit of resistance (from certain people) on the release of the flyers and chaos all at once.

That said, August's white dwarf has been pushed back for reasons I do not know. In the past, however, the only reason for White Dwarfs to be pushed back, however, have been last minute removal of content and articles, never additions.

This month had so much content potential that about 80% of it ended up on the editing room floor, so it wouldn't be difficult for them to fill a magazine back up if they were cutting chunks out of it.

As of Thursday morning though, August white dwarf hasn't been sent to the printers. The drop date on that is Friday.

As it covers allot of diffrent stuff I thought it was worth its own post, and seems very confident. HOWEVER it gose against what others have said with only one Codex this year.

Which would be... what? A new Predator... and... some Finecost special characters and... a Termy kit?

That's why I think this schedule, although unprecedented, is plausible.

Jetbikes. Gunship. Land Speeder+1 (with Chariot option). Knight Titan. Whatever. I'm guessing. You have noticed that GW can pull new units out of its if they don't feel like just redoing old stuff, right?

Probably. Marines have been getting the short shrift throughout 5th, never more than 2 or 3 new kits + a character or 2, while Xenos armies like DE or Nids got all the model lovin'

No indication that this will change anytime soon.

To be fair, Dark Eldar went more than a decade without anything be it rules, models, WD articles, etc. Nids also didn't get much when they launched and their releases have trickled in over the past 5 years to the point no one wants the models coming out because they've played years without them.

But yea, the DA don't need much. A vehicle variant, all their special characters redone, and a terminator kit (please god be robed!) would be nice. Plus we may finally get a real versatile HQ kit that can be turned into a chaplain, librarian, and captain which the SM range as a whole has needed since the dawn of time.

Plus having the DA upgrade sprue redone to be a bit more versatile with useful bits would be nice. Unfortunately it would probably have its price increased yet again, which is right behind the previous price increase it had of something like 75%

Come back and complain when Dark Eldar get a new codex every year.

That's because all marines are the same and we rarely go a year without seeing some sort of Space Marine update. GW releases enough new plastic Space Marine kits to make all of the Space Marine players happy. Of the xenos, there are only one per Codex, and they're all thematically different and are not Space Marines. So, when something like Dark Eldar, which waited 12 years for an update, finally got updated they needed to update the model range horrendously. Similarly, when Necrons, which waited 10 years. Next will be Tau, which waited about 10 years, and then Eldar, which has waited about... what, 6, 7 years? So yes, when a non-Space Marine Codex comes out, they get the love they deserve.

Yeah, Space Marine armies don't need tonnes of new models, because they already have 90% of any models in a new book already made. I mean, tactical squads don't need a rerelease for every marine book.
