Title says it all really. Post what happened, and why it made your funny gland implode.
For me it's got to be the time I had an entire uinit of Bretonnian knights of the realm (that was bunkering my prophetess) flee of the board. After being flank charged. By a single allurian Reaver (High elf fast cav) that had managed his double one rally in the subsequent turn. Not a single unit, a single guy. Admittedly he hill charged them, but still. What made it worst is that I had vocally dismissed him as a threat, as I assumed that if he charged I was basically getting a free reform when I muderised him.
While it was painful losing the unit (It was turn five and I was about 300 points up) It was a small price to pay for the mental image of a lone elf, crazed at the earlier wholesale murder of all his friends, looking insane enough as he came screaming down a hill to break the resolve of 12 of brettonias finest.

It's not just one unit, but many...
My first game I ever played of WHFB was the Battle for Skull Pass and it was an introductory game at a GW Store. Before the game, the Staff Member explained the merits of eaach army. He explained to great lengths about how brave and stubborn they were and how reluctant they were to abandon the battle.
My entire dwarven army proceeded to flee off the board at every possible opportunity.

Fuzzy on this but I saw like 4 fanatics get released and people crowded around to see what would happen and us observers start talking and speaking of Doom (it was a low point game) and then the next phase I think they all ran into each other and killed one another. Most people stopped watching at that point.

He charged down a hill into my flank and killed a knight. Thats four, and I'm not getting ranks. I didn't kill him, and I have a standard. Thats one.

Mine would be back in 5th edition (maybe 6th, don't recall exactly) I had a group of spearmen charge a unit of two warpfire throwers. Somehow in the course of the fight, one spearman hit the warpfire throwers in such a way that it caused them to roll on the misfire chart. They rolled a six and exploded taking both warpfire throwers out and all but one spearman of my unit, who then failed his leadership test and then rolled ones to flee. I imagine the archers behind the spearman unit had quite a show as they watched their defenders charge the approaching skaven, an earth shattering blast goes off and then, out of the smoke from the explosion, this one spearman stumbles back sans eyebrows gibbering like a madman with the biggest headache imaginable and now deaf. He continued to flee but rolled either ones or twos to get off the table, so I imagine a man whimpering madly to himself staring off into the distance as he shakily walks off the table muttering "screw this! I'm going home!"

Two come to mind.
First one, my DE vs. Ogres, turn 1. I've moved a Death sorceress on peggy up to fire Purple Suns down his line. All he has to threaten her is a 23-point cat thingie. I've got it covered, though, I've got a unit of fast cav with repeater crossbows in position to pincushion it this turn - besides, she's got the pendant of Khaeleth, it's not like the thing can hurt her. So my scouts with assassin (also in the area) move past the cat to go after the Ogre cannon chariot. The fast cav flub their shots, only putting one wound on the cat (I've NEVER seen one survive 10 shots at close range before). It charges the sorceress, she flubs her attack, it misses too, wins by 2 (flank and charge). She rolls an 11 to break and she gets run down. Yes, a 23-point cat killed a 450 point sorceress.
Second one, the unit wasn't actually lost, it just sorta forgot to participate in the battle. A unit of Orc Boar Riders moved up on a flanking maneuver on turn 1, then spent the next four turns sitting in place and squabbling before getting their act together on turn 6... with nothing around for them to charge.

Well...It was not hilarious to me, but my Empire Greatswords with a Warrior Priest were Hellshreiked right off of the board because I cannot make 2 ld8 stubborn tests -__-
Not to mention earlier in the game my wizard (which was tailored to my opponent for the Escalation League) blew himself up on turn one doing his first spell.

Finished painting steam tank, so first game with its nice shiny paint (new book). Had it anchoring one of the flanks, along with 30 swordsmen and their priest. First roll, 5 steam points, i misfire the arty dice, it ends up exploding (first turn too), the adjacent swordsmen take 11 S4 hits, 10 die, they proceed to panic and flee, right into their two handgunner detachments loitering behind , and sknce i cant place the swords behknd due to no room, off the table. Then both detachments fail panic checks, and off the table they go. One entire flank and 793 points went byebye because of one misfire roll.
Stupid metal box...

Thing is, that was the flank that was supposed to hold off a horde of skellies, who were then free to rampage into my centre's flank. Plus side, my opponent went to buy me a coffee whilst i went to grab some much needed soothing nicotine lol.

I charged 5 chaos knights with 10 free company. Knights did no wounds. Horses did ONE! Free company did no wounds. I win combat due to neither having command (Charge + Rank vs 1 wound). They flee, and my free company chase them down!

I hadn't been playing long and figured it would be handy to get in some games at a tournament - and it was added value that the tourney was at warhammer world.
My wood elves were fighting WoC, and being good wood elves we were hiding in the woods, treesinging to move the woods around and generally being annoying.
I can't remember the specifics of the game but I was winning, and the WoC player was getting wound up because he had tried to chase us out of the woods but had learned the hard way that I was going to flee, and leave him trapped in the woods with trees attacking him.
Being a 7th edition game I decided to use all my magic dice for no other reason than I could. I miscast and he got to choose a spell which led to my treeman being gatewayed.
I laughed which wound him up even more.
It still makes me chuckle when I think about it.

Old game of Fantasy, maybe 4th edition? Skaven vs. Gobbos. Not ORCS and gobbos, JUST gobbos.
Doom Bell rings, forcing every unit of the goblin army to take a LD test.
At LD 5.
The entire ARMY flees the table. Skaven win, top of turn 1, no casualties. To the ringing of a bell.

Closest I've come is when I failed every save my Hydra had to make. It was reduced to 1 wound by three Goblin Fanatics. It then, purely by my opponents poor rolling to wound, beat and ran down the unit which the fanatics came out of before dying to a unit of Spider Riders after again failing every single Armour and Regeneration save it needed to make. Apart from that it's just my Sorceress being sucked into the Realm of Chaos due to miscasts.

Actually, similar story with the skave, my buddy was using his empire against a skaven army, in an old scenario that required marchin from one short edge to the other, while the opponent ambushed them on either side.he had deployed in two long conga lines (this was 7th, before hordes).
What followed was hilariously unlucky. turn one, skaven warpfire thrower scattered, and just clipped the lead two ubits.
(see where this is going?)
What followed was the most catastrophic ld tests, as after a single casualty was caused on each lead unit, they failed their panic tests, as did every single unit behind them, leading to a game of leapfrog off the table.
Ever knock over a house of cards?

Mephiston only hits him once, saved by Cybork body.
Big mek pimpslaps Mephiston into oblivion (all hits, all wounds with a PK )
The ENTIRE BA force shoots at him, reducing him eventually to a thin green mist....
(okay, this a 40K one, but still...)
For WHFB i think it had to be having Tecis squashed by a falling treeman (back a few editions) and reduced to elf jello...

Before I actually had a Fantasy army to call my own, I was using my store's displayed Lizardmen. It's not great, but it ain't bad either. Mostly Saurus Warriors, with minimal Skink presence, backed by Razordon packs, Cold Ones, and a bro on a Carnosaur if you really feel like it. Anyways, playing a 2v2 1000pts-a-player match just to get a feel for the game. One of my opposing players was also fairly new and plays Dark Elves. At one point I have a block of Saurus Warriors charging straight down the middle of the board, in between some terrain while my Cold Ones reach around the side for a flank charge and my teammate is holding the other end. The Dark Elves player has her wizard cast Pit of Shades on the block, increases the size of the template to large, and makes the casting value without Miscasting. We don't have enough dispel dice to get rid of it, so she places the template (covering every model), and rolls for scatter, which it doesn't. I ask what happens next, she checks the spell, and tells me to take an Initiative test.
I look at her for a moment, then at the Saurus Warriors, and then back her and yell "An INITIATIVE TEST? D:" She asks why I'm so distraught, and I calmly explain that Saurus Warriors have I1. She's laughing, everybody else is laughing, I'm laughing cause it's not even my army and I don't give a damn, and I roll my dice.
Not a 1 was to be had that day.

In one game i managed a host of fail...
Turn one:... charge 5 chaos knights with full command into 20 skaven slaves... proceed to miss all hits and wounds before having one knight killed, failing my tests and being run down by the feeble buggers....
Turn two:.... charge my 12 khorne knights with my wizard into the unit slaughtering them all only to lose 25% to a warp lightning cannon on the flanks thankfully passed all tests
Turn three: ...... wizard decides he doesn't like his companions and detonates killing 5 more leaving 4 left....tests passed wizard loses wound and spell...
turn four.... wizard decides he doesn't want to live on this world anymore and miscasts again but leaves for the warp no other casualties...
now by this stage my opponent has written me off but my last 4 warriors frenzied and shredded the remaining 50% of his army in turn 5 earning me a narrow victory thanks to some luck with the dice granted by Tzeentch himself ......
both my worst failure and greatest victory to date... in one 500point game....
