Just curious on the opinions from the Dakka world. Thank you in advance for the opinions.

250 - Mortis pattern Dreadnought (x2 TL Lascannons, x1 Cyclone Missile Laucher)

HQ's get attached to a random 10 man unit.
5 man Crusader squad hangs out in a ruin from a firing location but close enough to an objective if possible.
Assault Cannon Mortis moves up with the foot to get better range for his guns.
Lascannon Mortis lies in wait with Interceptor and Skyfire abilites to blow fliers out of the sky.
The other 40 models... they walk towards you and do mean things.

I'm liking the list! Although, I have encountered some people in my FLGS that are a little "ify" about me fielding forgeworld models. What would have instead of the Mortis Pattern Dreadnoughts if you per say, went into a tourney?

But I really love the list!

Black Templars are the best Space Marine Chapter out of all the Space Marines. They are the most fanatical marines out there. They are on an endless, eternal crusade for the god emperor. AND they get in the face of the enemy. Thats the way to get things done.

Thats the one thing i question. But it looks like a fun list! I want to make a all foot list, with initates, neophytes, terminators, and assault marines.

I've run a BT list with dual Mortis Contemptor (I ran both with the K assault cannons and cyclone launchers). They do well at taking down the flyers.

Quick tip if you're playing night-scythe necron spam:
if the player chooses to deploy the troops out of the flyer, use the interceptor rule to take out the troops, NOT the flyer as the troops will easily glance you to death, the flyers can too but with more difficulties.

Forge World is owned by GW and using GW rules and guidlines they are 100% usable in any GW tournament, or should be. All 4 of my local stores go by this rule.

What book are these patterns from? I know mortis patterns started happening in Imperial Armour 2, but that load out isnt possible. The load out seems awesome, I just want to know where it came from

Yeah I know GW owns Forgeworld but the reason people don't let me use forgeworld models at times is because they say the argument. "It isn't in your codex so you can't field it." Where I live they haven't allowed forge world models in tournaments sadly. I wish they did. I would field some awesome stuff.

The Imperial Armory books specifically state if the units or models are legal in a 40k game or an apocalypse game. It also specifically states which factions can use the unit or model. Your local store needs to learn to read, they are missing out on some models that make Codex marines pretty amazing to play.

I will be sure bring this up with my gaming store. Thanks for clearing this up to me.

Btw you should do a battle report with this list of yours. I would love to see how it turns out.

I will run a battle report on the game when I get a chance to play it. Hopefully in the next week.
