Seriously though, Vik, these things are perfect for casting and selling- they're small, simple, but full of character and integrate easily into multitudes of gaming systems- you could even use this style for Dystopian Wars if you wanted. Figure out how to cast them (or outsource- I'd be willing, or Chapterhouse or whoever) and sell them for around 2-3 Euros apiece (casting is much, much cheaper than that) and you'd probably be able to make a bundle.

at LDD... today i repositioned the heavy legs as suggested before by some of you...and i had to reglue the whole set of legs to rover... the fell off for some reason... but this time i used the testors glue and it fills even small gaps... so the hlaf round "claws" of rover are tomorrow finally done i think... i too have thought about adding radar ears... and i will have to figure out how to do that... parabolshaped discs... now that is something of a challange^^

by the way... whats the word about adding a nose??? shant or should?

@Vik- Rivetto MKI has no nose, that is what adds the maccabre steampunkiness (the charm and character) to the smile IMHO.

Firstly no nose to much realism to robots does not work they are to represent not to replicate

As for joining the league it would be a honer and a privilege, however I do believe Vik's remark was aimed at MOrdain and some how the attack was turned to me

Aww No Man! I mean, if you're ever bored, look at my airbrushing on the round beebopdrums tower, I was horrible, then it's documented there in pics each time I used it, the more confident I got.

Just build, paint, convert, and have the camera there for snapping a lot of pics. Don't be shy man, we'll help you along.

LDD... don´t get frightened by the amount of stuff...odd stuff most of the time at that from all of dakka members... there are so many threads around that would not be up to any good and still are thriving... there is no point in saving up for a thread if you ask me... i think you got your head screwed on right...or make that rivetd on^^ and i think you should jsut make three or more pics of your stuff...in whatever state they might happen to be...heck some of the guys here started a thread by just showing full sprues of minis... and i know you have minis at least assembled already... blurry pics and too dark pics... all can me mebded and be forgiven...but no pics and no thread... man, just give yourself a nudge in the right direction...! how long do you want us to beg you for that?

and we don´t make errors... every rivet is aimed at the righht spot... we have our beady eyes upon ye... you gave lots of cool ideas...so we assume you would also make a good member...see, we didn´t see nuffin yet of yer stuff and already value you...^^

seems the no nose faction is pretty strong^^ so if no one steps up for a lil nose action i say it is a no nose design^^

and i have a hard time every time i go to a hardware store... if i would have endless cash...there is no telling what crazy powertools and other stuff i could end up buying...heck i probably would have a wooden tank in my backyard by now...IF i had a backyard^^

Well, I will dig some stuff up this week end and take some pics, cant promise anything great but it will be a start plus it will be a real random thread


Plus be aware I have not played for years (any format) and as to fluff it will be a shot in the dark or a bolt round to the back of the head at least …….

Dave as to the airbrush I meant I want a new airbrush so I can achieve a better result Mine was a real basic one with no real adjustment to spray which really pissed me of as that was what I was after (don't buy from evil bay ) yours was given the results that I was more after achieving.

Vik you have been a real inspiration and encouragement to start a thread (all though I would call it bloody pushy ) and I have enjoyed your updates and rambling banter on what seems to be a daily basis so as to this I know pledge to go forth create, paint and archive so that one day I will be able to join the league of greats (rivet masters) and then maybe carry the banner of commitment
