I'm excited to announce that very soon we will be releasing our first, and much anticipated, digital edition of White Dwarf, which will be available to download for your iPad via the Apple Newsstand on Saturday. The White Dwarf iPad edition will include all the articles and features of its paper counterpart, but with the added bonus of several unique features, including 360 degree images of miniatures, extra photos and a battle report video debrief in which Adam and Andrew discuss how their game played out.

Of course, a digital White Dwarf needs someone to create it, which is where Beth, our Digital Editor, comes in. Beth is an animator and an illustrator and before she joined the White Dwarf team several of her pieces were featured in our Forge World books. Though she may be relatively new to the hobby, it didn't take Beth long to settle on her army of choice - Lizardmen.

Don't have an iPad, don't buy WD, have zero interest in even the free 360 views and so on they have for their online store.

So... yeah... no way to buy it anyway, and nothing extra in it that I would want, even if I were interested enough to buy a WD anyway (and it has been about 10 years since that has been the case)...

I already have a subscription to the paperback version do I get the digital copies included? Not buying twice!
Does digital have 100% of paper content or are some page missing?

It's nice to throw my copy in my bag and take it to work/pub/whereever... I don't take my iPad out much.

I like the idea.. if I had an iPad I'd probably subscribe, but I don't so I won't. It would be cool if they could do an Android version so I could get it on my Kindle, but I'm guessing they build this stuff with Apple's iBook creator so there's prolly no way to do an android version without starting from scratch.

That's great news--have to wait and see what the price/unit is.

I'll take that bet. I suspect it'll be the same price as a newstand copy or a bit less. I'd *hope* that print subscribers would get a significant discount on getting the digital but frankly I'm not going to hold my breath on that one.

Don't other magazines make their digital versions cheaper? If so that would mean GW would list it for around $24.95 a month.
