Love this guys stocky look, his head is much better than I could've hoped for. Shame he has a weedy axe, would've been nicer for another fist dagger type blade.

I can see him charging like a boar or rhino and then goring & slashing away in a frenzy.

I make no claims on the the accuracy. It was the best I could manage from the little scale silhouette on Krull and the space marine scale shot on the Thirster, thrown in with a hefty amount of photoshop eyeballing. Regardless, I now desperately want to play a megabattle with both of them.

Scarily enough, you are about right in the size comparisons. We've already had a shot of him next to a Forgeworld Bloodthirster sent to us by Dan, but I think it's prudent not to show that, really...

Oh, and don't worry about Maru's mouth - Tim "Sausage Fingers" Fisher has managed to stick the teeth/gums on incorrectly, but this is the only model we have available at the moment. The painted version (should be ready in a couple of weeks) will show the correct tooth/gums.

Woah!! The minotaur is just AMAZING!!

Maru....hmmm , I don't know , the problem with the teeth makes it harder to appreciatte , but the nose is looking a bit wierd to me for sure, I mean it have too much curve , if you look at the concept by Stephan or even a real dog or cat , its just a straight line from nose to the eyes , can be on a fallen angle , but no curved that way...

Also the fur looks a bit "stocked" more similar too feathers than a mane , couldn't it be softened a lot? Make it look more like a "whole" mane instead of small groups of hair?

For the same reasons the Maru model is not working for me:
The bloated nose looks wrong, the mane is of the Trish school and has no resemblance to real fur (both correct in the concept sketch). And the leather strap on the hind leg is a fetish thing without any purpose.

On the Minotaur: My guess from the concept sketch is that the fully armoured Minotaur has his wang hanging unprotected for everyone to see from behind.

Im guessing the strap is to hide the leg join, but i agree with you on all else, except i dont mind the nudity

I agree on that too.

Anyway I think all things named are not so difficult to be corrected, and if you Maelstrom guys still in time for this, in my opinion it will make a much better miniature.

Edit : Taking a new look at Maru I just discovered other thing that looks out of a tiger/lion look creature, and its the foots. Specially the legs looks too meaty and thick on the last 2 parts, looks more like a human on 4 legs than the legs of a cat or dog. Even a bit of reptilian/dinosaur on the nails too. Some pictures to illustrate what I'm saying :

Anyway I'm to trying to put down the sculptor or anything , I'm all over constructive whith my opinions , hope no one feel blamed out there
