So far I have 1500pts of DE completed, which you can see pics of here but I need 2000pts for a tourney in 6 weeks time.


The list of things I need to paint:

- Baron Sathonyx
-14 Hellions
-15 trueborn
- 1 Venom
- 12 Reavers

Things I need to convert/make:

-The Baron, I want to make a model that represents the artwork in the codex as much as I can, not sure how I will go with making his jacket but we weill see.
- 6 "Splinter Cannons" I dont quite have enough splinter cannons for my trueborn so Im converting some weapons. Trueborn love blasting things to pieces, so I figure they will pour their resources into getting better ranged weapons to do the job, hence why they will have these custom splinter cannons.
- Lastly Id like to try and do a display board thats magnetised so I can transport the army on it, DE stuff gets snagged on foam to easy with all the spiky bits.

Now the Trueborn are mostly assembled, just need to clean up their arms then start painting.

Iv started on the Venom as well.

Painted up the pilot and cockpit so I can put the rest of the vehicle together around him.

I finally have a day off.

Got all 15 of the trueborn assembled and undercoated so far. Ill put up pics once they have some colour on them.


Heres some shots of the Venom.

So far I have undercoated it and drybrushed some Khorne Red onto it. It works alot better than the Red Gore I used on the rest of the army.

Heres the Venom with the 2nd stage of drybrushing using Mephiston Red.





This is after using the purple shade on it.






Bit dusty looking but should come good after a spray of varnish.

Venom is now complete, looks alot better with a spray of varnish.









The venom on the left was painted with the old range of paints, the new one on the right came out a bit darker, not sure if its because of the shade being a bit different to the washes or not.

That pilot looks cool, I love those helmets, remind me of daft punk!

And yeah that varnish makes it look very sleek =)

Ok, I have about 3 weeks of painting left before the comp.

I now have the Hellions Skyboards mostly done (just need to paint the splinter pods), The Barons board is also done and the Reavers are getting finsihed this weekend hopefully.


Hers some shots of progress as is.

The 12 Reavers are pretty much done now, they just need to be sprayed with a matt varnish and the have thier helmets glossed.








Next up will probably be more work on the Hellions.
