At least, it's evening here.
I've been browsing the Dakka forums for nearly two years now, taking peeks at the modelling showcases for inspiration and browsing general tips and hints in the painting forums. But today, after reading a post, I finally thought: hey, what the hell, maybe I can actually post something for a change.
So here I am. Wargaming-wise, I'm more of a collector, modeller, converter and painter, not that much of a player (I do enjoy it, I just don't like having my models damaged in transit). I started about ten years ago with some eldar. I loved painting them, hated playing them. Every guardian that died (and they died so easily) felt like a horrible drama. Yes, I'm a bit susceptibel to fluff.

Then I dabbled in some tyranids (the Macragge box ones) before settling on the orks as my new army. I love my orks, great modelling options, and a good amount of humor on the tabletop.
In between my orks I started with a small group of skaven, which has slowly grown into a small-time obsesion, I love the insane plague-spreading, magi-tek engineering rats even more then my greenskins. I don't play
WHFB (maybe I should at some point) but I just love the fluff and models from the skaven range.
Recently I've begun a new project: A necron force that I can easily take with me, so I can play a bit more often. It's worked so far, but I keep getting distracted by side projects with no tabletop value to do before the next usefull unit (like wanting to convert flayed ones out of warriors in stead of painting up my scythe or kitbashing a destroyer lord in stead of writing an army list that's worth it's salt

)
I also have two teams for Blood Bowl, one of which has even won a prize at a local cup for best painted team. They're a skaven team in yellow and purple and a nurgle team in nasty brown and vomit green. Believe it or not, the nurglings took home the prize.
So that's my modelling career in a nutshell. A coconut shell, but ah well. Beyond that, I'm approaching my third decade, am living together with the missus (who can paint better then me, her first model looked ten times better then my first), work for an it-company and spend to much time behind my computer engaging in vitual carnage.
Pleased to meet you lot too!
