For me it's 2 or 3 hours a night. Been watching Twin Peaks and painting cultists.

On actual painting 0.000 hours in the last 2-3 months. But over the last month I've been building a warhound titan and converting various character at a 2-6 hour a day clip. It's nice to not have to work and only go to school.

I generally paint for about 3-4 hours a night and more or less 7 days a week.

On a good week I get 1 solid hour of painting time. You really start to appreciate good paints/brushes and well constructed models when you reach this point in your life.

This. Although currently its more a lack of motivation than not having time.

It depends.
If the kids are up, 6,4 and 2. I usually cant get any real paint time in.
On Saturdays, I go to my LGS and can get about 4-6 hours in of modeling or painting or both.
If the kids are asleep, and I am not toooooo tired from work, or dont have to get up the next day, I can usually get about 1-2 hours in.

Right now, I am mass painting about 25 guardsmen. Flesh, uniform light, armor dark, weapons, details, fine touch ups......

Hello,

I try to get in about 2 hrs a day. It helps me unwind at night. Luckily my boys ( 19 and 16 ) are into the hobby as well, so I always have someone to bounce ideas off of...But I do have to fight them for space at our painting table sometimes...

Available hobby time depends a lot of what I have going on at work, home or other hobbies. High end it can get up to 50 or 60 hours a week, while on the low side I can get in an hour a week if I am lucky. Usually it is somewhere around 15-20 hours a week though which is divided up between painting, sculpting, modeling and building terrain.

I'd say about 5-10. I try to paint for an hour a day, though I don't always meet that quota. Sometimes, I'm able to get more painting in on the weekends.

Depends, I haven't painted for a little bit as I've been sculpting instead. Though I did just remember a model I had stripping, about a month or more ago.

I used to spend quite a bit of time painting but it's gotten to cold out now to prime my models so they'll have to sit bare until spring comes around.

Indeed. I get between zero and 3 hours a week in typically. If it's slow at work or I'm just so sick of work I need to take a break, maybe up to 10 hours in a week. I care far less about the price of the hobby when I don't have the time to paint everything I buy anyway.

I generally only paint on the weekends because when I get home from work I am usually too tired to even think about painting. But on the weekends I can easily put in 12+ hours while watching Star Trek.

Not as much as I'd like to.

Right now I'm probably at 6 hours.

When I was unemployed it was about 40 hours.

I'd very much like to be at 15 hours a week as I have a metric feth ton of models that need painting.

Energy/motivation are as much a constraint on my hobby time as active responsibilities, so it varies as widely as it can, considering it always stays in the shallow end of the pool. Right now I'm around my peak, logging about 3-5 hours in the past few days, which would put me at around 7-8 for the week, if I keep it up. Usually, I'm at 0-1 hours. It can sometimes take me weeks, even months to finish a small batch (3-5 infantry), if I'm in a rut. Sometimes I get sidetracked by one-off, non-wargaming projects; sometimes I just stop working, altogether.

I'm lucky if I get 1 - 2 hours per week. Two young sons keep me busy.

And when I try to sneak out to the garage to get a little modeling done, my oldest son (2) is right behind me. He's fascinated with the models though - so another potential gamer in the family.

Just don't leave him along with the delicate models for more than a few seconds... lol

I get most of my painting done Friday and Saturday nights so about 8 hours a week if I am lucky from around 10pm to 2am. I can occasionally get some done on weekdays but my 2 year old son insists on helping. It is pretty difficult to do fine detail work with a toddler on your lap. I keep a basecoat mishap mini nearby for him to work on while I paint, works pretty well and he is getting pretty good at brush control but he needs to get down and go show his mom what he's done about every 5 minutes or so.
