The addition to the already bloated Sigmarine line is passable.
Stormcast are only bloated where it comes to characters. They have 5 kits otherwise (and Libs/Judicators are basically the same), which honestly doesn't feel that "bloated" to me.
Compare with other factions.
You mean like the Tzeentch book that just came out and has 7 Daemon units alone, not counting the 3 Tzaangor units and the Acolytes which are mortals can be combined with the Slaves To Darkness range of 7 kits? None of that counting heroes, of course.
Stormcast might have more non-hero boxes than Sylvaneth or Bonesplittaz but they're far from the biggest. That goes to WHFB armies that made the transition without being broken apart like Seraphon or the Daemons. Most of the ones that were fractured aren't even expected to play within their own subfaction, so you might as well count all the High Aelf factions together as well, which brings them up there.

It's how I describe tabletop gaming to newcomers, so yes. But in this context, it's like saying people who play Total War and people who play Barbie Dreamtopia are all just playing vidja games.

I wonder if this is the news they were talking about in the Vanguard post or if we'll have more model release news in a few hours as well.
It's not what they were talking about in the Vanguard post, since they specifically said "... We have another reveal from next month’s releases tomorrow..."

I also found out some old artwork (Ie: forth edition) of warhammer fantasy. Which just doesn't want to appear...
Thanks for posting these. AOS needs Blanche. I have been building a Stormcast army so I have leafed through the Stormcasts books numerous times. There is not a single piece of art I can recall. It is all technically very well made, but so bland and boring that nothing stands out.

I tend to agree, with most of the art coming with AoS being very... cut and clean. Looking back at my old 5th or 6th edition rulebook, or my old Lizardmen books gives me a much darker, dirtier, and dangerous feel for the world. It's interesting to look at, compared to the stark colors and clean lines.

I mean, fifty bucks is on the line.
There's no rule that says I can't.
Aaaawww gaaak, here comes new Nurgle models!! I mean, c'mon, they have to! I know those guys in front are well known, but they can't miss their chance

What's happening?!?
As of the Disciples of Tzeentch battletome that dropped last week, they're still diametrically opposed to each other:
However, every Chaos God has his opposite, another whose nature is the antithesis of his own. For Tzeentch, that special foe is Nurgle. The Lord of Decay provides Tzeentch his fiercest rivalry. To Tzeentch’s hope and ambition, his demand for change, Nurgle counters with opposing ideologies – a resigned despair that accepts how things are, a willingness to not just be content with the base or mundane, but to actually wallowin it. In their endless battles, Tzeentch pits his ceaseless evolution against the stagnant loop of Nurgle’s closed cycle of life and death. Tzeentch, who delights in his carefully laid plans, is appalled to watch Nurgle’s slovenly and indiscriminate destruction, his jovial acceptance of the natural order. The two powers never miss an opportunity to match forces against one another, be it battles over boundaries in the Realm of Chaos, expansionist wars in the Mortal Realms or even political intrigues amongst the Cities of Sigmar.
GW just doesn't let the fluff get in the way of the artwork (if that is the final artwork, and not just a placeholder).

I think the Khorne guys are dungeon enemies as well. The Slaughterpriest looks like he's ready to take a swing at the Corsair, and finish whatever was started when something took his leg off.
Might be all 3 of the currently active gods teaming up to take down one of Orders new cities?

All those models have rules already (via the card deck). There's really nothing new on display there.
Warhammer Quest Shadows over Hammerhal will be an entirely self contained game with a whole new cast of heroes and villains.

Good call, then it is a 3 pronged attack from the active Chaos Gods!
The Sorcerer to the right is probably the antagonist?

Edit: I am an Idiot, thats what the silver tower is. Damn, was hoping for some gryph riders today.

Pity it wasn't Death themed like the rumors said but at least this means Silver Tower has a chance for yearly releases and will focus on the current AoS story arch. (So when Death gets it's due there's definitely going to be alot of happy undead fans)
The hint to use your Tzeentch forces and the "narrative" bit have me interested. Are they planning to make several releases before the game for a adventure leading into a huge city brawl?
In anycase, really looking forward to this.

And so are slaanesh and khorne, which also appear in the box. On rare occassion they do ally against greater threats or gains. And think of it: Sigmar has secured two mortal realms and conquered swaths of the rest. When was the last time chaos EVER retroceded? Either in fantasy or 40k, whenever they gained something it was lost forever, yet in AoS we are seeing them fall back and fail to retake. The threat and balance of power have never been so real to the chaos gods.

Oh god, guys... do you imagine if Shadows Over Hammerhal becomes the new Mordheim?

Indeed, now chaos is fighting foes with a equal footing rather than mere mortals with some gunpowder & magic or a imperium with a corpse-god that's basically a lighthouse.
The bad part is that chaos is going to up it's game now instead of just playing around...
[Edit]: Haha, I thought of the Mordheim possibility on the Empire forum as well. If they release a bunch of mortal factions before the game's release then we'll have our anwser.

They released the other Stormcast at 7PM yesterday, so I'm hoping for some news in about a half hour.
They said "PS: We have another reveal from next month’s releases tomorrow. Check back then to find out what…", so I would imagine we'd see something else today. This WHQ won't be out next month I'd bet.

The chaos gods ally with each other all the time as part of the great game. Tzeentch-Nurgle do have a specific rivalry but that doesn't override everything, and armies with devotees of multiple gods exist all over the place in the fluff going back to WHFB.
