To follow on from Cheesecat's thread (which I enjoyed reading through immensely!), I thought i'd start the opposite.
So Dakka, what makes you guys happy?
For me, its a Bacon Sandwich with HP Sauce and a cold pint of Abbot Ale (or Hobgoblin). Its just blissful, if I have a hangover its even better. Just substiute the ale for a pint of Nesquick Chocolate milkshake and i'm as happy as a pig in gak!
A pleasant meal with my friends
A task complete (such as finishing the last paper of the semester, like today)
New book from a series I enjoy
A fresh pint of Guinness
A scenic and enjoyable view that a lot of people don't know about
Getting out on the range to blow off some steam.
Horseback riding
I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn
Lemme at least leave a good hoof beat they'll remember loud and long
-An order of hot and tangy garlic wings
-A brand new game, shared with friends on game night (Zombicide, most recently)
-A gift that I have given somebody that they absolutely love (TV for my best friend's wedding last year, Gloom given to a friend as an early x-mas present)
-Oh, and a puppy eating infant. There is deliberately no hyphen, so you guys can decide if the puppy is eating the infant, or the infant is eating the puppy. Smiles abound!!
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Rodney singing.
TBone on one of his good days.
Walking Rusty the tank dog at night in the winter. Its crisp and quiet.
Watching GC talk with her friends.
Watching the Boy slaughter you newbs in video games or arguing with him over politics.
The Wife bebopping along as she drives, occasionally running over things.
Going 80 on the new tollway listening to Bad Moon Arising from CCR.
-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG
-"Don't mind Frazzled. He's just Dakka's crazy old dude locked in the attic. He's harmless. Mostly."
-TBone the Magnificent 1999-2014, Long Live the King!
For me, it's generally material possessions, sadly.
Going to the porch and seeing my Amazon packages have arrived.
Getting a new warhams model, and first opening the box and looking at the sprues.
When SABNZBD finishes acquiring a new episode of Homeland.
The feeling I have when I leave work and have 3 days off.
Watching the dog roll around outside. For some reason, her routine when she first wakes up is to go outside, pee, then rub against the bricks on the side of the house a few times, then to find a nice spot, flip over, and wiggle around on her back for a while.
Watching trailers when I go to the movies. I love going to the movies and do so as frequently as the release schedule allows - as often as once a week when there is a run of good releases (I won't go when there is only crap out; I don't love them that much). Listen, this might sound weird, but so what.My favorite part is the trailers. I love watching the trailers for upcoming movies. So, the feeling when this screen comes up:
Opening the freezer and seeing my wife got me a pint of strawberry Haagen-Daz.

1. Waking up next to my girlfriend. 2. The "lightbulb" moment when teaching kids. 3. Walking when it's so quiet all you can hear are the sounds of animals and so on. 4. Nice beer. 5. Stupid humour, like bad puns and so on.

When i've actually got out of bed and beaten the temptation to snooze the alarm. I don't care if i feel tired or whatever, ruling out sleeping-in is a great feeling for me.
Knowing i'm on schedule or indeed ahead of schedule.
Being pleasantly drunk.
The smell of Rain.
The shape of a skinny lady's thighs.
The shape of a big lady's butt.
Smiling at a girl just to see them smile back.
Finding out it's okay to smoke in someones home.

The God of Money teaches that there are two things in life that are unavoidable: death and taxes, and both take away your money. So you must earn much to prepare for these things.
Pulling off a righteous cross map headshot with a non scoped weapon in CounterStrike.
Hiding in smoke and then knifing someone/s in CounterStrike and then watching/hearing about the subsequent rage about being knifed by a "camping noob".
Cooking a perfect rasher of bacon and a perfect runny egg to go on an English muffin. Followed up by a nice brewed cup of tea.
Watching my cat beat my dogs when they play fight.
Seeing the first hint of colour on my Rasberry and Blackberry bushes come summertime. (which is now as it happens. )

A good cup of tea. I mean one of those ones you make that really hit the spot; ones you finish before the cup's even had time to cool down, not the ones you put aside and leave to go cold between sips; ones you hold in both hands and focus all your attention on.
Ahhhh.
That 'new book' smell.
Waking up after a really refreshing sleep.
Waking up early, or staying up and watching the sun rise on a clear day, or seeing sunlight softly streaming through your curtains and opening them to a bright, warm view with nary a cloud in the sky.
The dawn chorus, or just birdsong in general.
Watching little critters go about their business, whether it's watching birds hop from branch to branch, or squirrels scampering around--or in my case, hanging upside down from a branch to access a bird feeder, and clinging desperately on to the feeder when gravity starts to take its toll.
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

"You need not fear us, unless you are a dark heart, a vile one who preys on the innocent; I promise, you can’t hide forever in the empty darkness, for we will hunt you down like the animals you are, and pull you into the very bowels of hell." Iron - Within Temptation

Yep this. This a million and one times. The best ones are on frosty mornings and pleasent spring afternoons.
I love that feeling of staying up really late, and realizing I've been staring at a monitor in the dark for over eleven hours, the keyboard is starting to get blurry and my hands start to shake from typing erratically all night... It makes me feel really cool, as if I'm doing something important with my time, even though it's the total opposite.
Even us Americans can appreciate a good cup of tea. I have an awesome raspberry tea, and a pomegranate one as well, that I could drink forever, no sugar or cream, just the tea. The longer it steeps, the better.
