got this guy in the mail a few weeks ago, finally found time to paint him. I need to slow down though. I paint way to fast. I see so many little mistakes on it that it bothers me, but overall, I think he looks good.

I would recommend that you use black undercoat, when you udnercoat with white it's really obvious when you have missed a few spots and it looks really messy. Also the white "shines" through at several spots. Other than that you've picked out the details pretty well. Also dont forgot to base him!

I am using some sculpting clay to make a base for him and a nurgle lord I did a while back. Thats why he isnt on anything right now. I am still getting used to thinning the piants down properly, this is only my 4th model I have painted. I do appreciate the suggestion on the black undercoat though. For some reason I just hadnt thought of that. would help a ton.

Nice, better than my 4th model, I'm painting festus at the moment but I seem to have the opposite problem to you, i need to speed up, I've been working on him for three weeks. I think the skulls on the staff on your model would benefit from a brown wash. Thanks for sharing you have helped me decide how I plan to paint the staff holding tentacle

Hey dude!

For your 4th model this is pretty awsome, it is very, very neat and you got some lovely colour choices in there.

What is letting it down is the lack of dark contrasting, because it was based white it has no shading. Have you tried out any of the games workshop wash range? Honestly a slightly thinned brown wash over this entire guy would darken him a fair bit, but he would have the shading he needs to compliment how neat your paintwork is without the white letting it down a bit.

Models must be completely finished, including the base, to be in the Showcase Forum.

Nice work though!

Listen to Ifalna. She knows what shes talking about. A dark wash would enhance this model 100%.
