So I just 2nd Handed 6 super sexy looking possessed marines for a cheap price and wondering how I can use them.
6th edition greatly crunches them up but I'm still not convinced cuz ya know how RL can sometimes greatly differ to books.
Theres also the fact that I only got 6 of them, hardly worth a rhino, and my elite section are sorta already filled with berzerkers, hellbrutes and (soon to be after I'm done converting them) plague marines/thousand sons/noise marines.
So should I disassemble them and use their bitz to spice up my CSM army or should I keep them for the lolz.

Just use them as regular Marines or as your Champions or something.
To put it simply, in the shooty edition of 40k, you kind of wonder about the unit with no guns and no dedicated Assault Vehicle who cost 26pts a pop.

If you want to run any Cult unit except zerkers (but those really like to be paired up with an IC) consider to make them troops. PMs and TSs are excellent objective holders and really hard to get rid off.
To the Possessed: I have yet to run them in 6th but with all those nice buffs they got I actually consider taking them again as the models are amazing. But I would not run them in a Rhino, give them MoN or MoT and put them in front of your shooty units and run every turn you are not in charge distance and the enemy has to decide if he shoots them or your big guns.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too! |

I'm with Godless-Mimicry. Break them up and use their bits for unit chapions, Chosen and other models that actually carry their weight.

In Boxing matches, you actually get paid to take a dive and make the other guy look good.
In Warhammer 40K, you're expected to pay cash out of your pocket for the privilege of having Marines and IG trample all over your Xenos/Chaos. |

Aren't they fleet now? That requires less transporting.
Too bad they only ever get ap2.
Don't take berserkers as elites.
Huron will help give lame assault units infiltrate?

This is the point. Use them in a fun game, but in a competitive setting, there is no place for Possessed. Actually, the issues are the same as in the previous edition.

Right. Even if you could make possessed slightly better than marked CSM or cult troops (which really you can't) you still aren't scoring in any missions. So tactically you lose out on an objective holder. The CSM or cults in most cases will be almost as powerful in melee, and give you access to heavy/special weapons which are going to be able to take out enemy armor. Possessed really serve no purpose. Even as a small cheap throw away unit they lose out to terminators who can deepstrike, shoot melta, and take much more dedicated fire from the enemy to kill.

I was thinking to use some in a Tally List with Mark or Nurgle. Any thoughts on that? Shouldn't be an issue since they are daemons, and would benefit from everything but the Feel No Pain buff.

but they still arent any good. even with their random mutations you are better off using other units.
