I got some carbon fiber tubing, sheets of plasti-card, and a set of files of various shapes and sizes.
Best of all, nice Saw-and-Mite set. It's really something, I cut through a dread in just a couple seconds, a far cry better than what I was used to using before.

What did you guys get?

"Just the act of orks looting it defiles it! There are Techpriests rolling over in their graves!" "Yeah! I'm rolling over them in their graves!"
"The usage of shipping containers is much like 40k technology: It's been handed down from tech-priest to tech priest, until none of us really remember how it works and we go through many pointless rituals in the belief that it will keep it alive. " - Dayspring

3: Box of Cadians (and they actually knew what Melta/Plas was, so I got a small bag of just bits. They knew SOMETHING)

Vampire Counts megaforce. Everything else so far has been non-gaming related (mini BBQ, polar fleece jedi robe, wooden coffee pod box, Angry Birds biscuit barrel, box of twinkies and box of 5th avenue bars).

I honestly have more fun at Christmas giving out my presents than receiving them though.

Turns out I got more gaming related stuff. My parents got me a pack of Cultists and the LE Black Friday dice cup, which is pretty rad.

My brother dragged me back to wanting more Salamanders by getting me Sevrin Loth, the only Librarian model I've ever liked.

I got the infinity rulesbook. Now comes the wallet pain of buying their minis. So beautiful... but they are priced like they are cast from gold.

Also a testors fine grade sand paper pack, nothing says miniatures nerd like getting excited over sandpaper, lol.

Are we looking at the same game?

Infinity is one of the cheatest miniatures games on the market right now. Only their TAGS and other large models get expensive, because, well, they're all metal still.

That's because there isn't the same policy of charge THOSE people 2x what we charge THAT other lot for CB - and because of this, pricing margins between direct and local distribution isn't anywhere near as heinous.

It's usually cheaper to get it local as the postage from direct is a killer (Euro to here).

I got a FoW open fire box.

You both are right in my opinion.

It can get very expensive if you want to have a "complete" set of unit options. It only gets worse if you want to have unique looking units where you have to do conversions, etc.

We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".

“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”
