Hey Dakka,

So a little Introduction: My name's Tudor and i'm from Romania, currently 22 and studying medicine. Infinity is my first miniature wargame, and the first miniatures i'm going to paint. Currently the Wargaming scene is undeveloped in Romania and as far as i know there's only one club in my city (Bucharest, the capital) that plays mostly Warhammer and a little bit of Warmachine. I'm gonna try to convert some other people there to play some Infinity too (i have 2 starter sets and currently only playing with my girlfriend).

So...the following will be my second miniature painted in my whole life (so be gentle ). You don't want to see my first painted one...and neither do i so i threw it in the acetone bath.
For this one i chose a wintery/urban base seeing how where i live fits the theme.

Comments, critique and advice greatly appreciated . Cheers!

Yup the pics are pretty bad but it will be remedied when i return with my girlfriend from vacation and use her camera. These were taken with a mobilephone camera...

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

First of all, as your 2nd completed miniature this is bloody impressive!

Usually things like light-sourcing (the eyes) and shading of colour are quite advanced techniques, so to be using them so soon is amazing. Also, you obviously have a very steady hand and neat brush work!

Really nice colour scheme and detail on the base also, look forward to seeing this mini (and more!) with shots from a better camera!

Looks good, especially for being the second model you painted. I like the chosen colors. Are these the colors you're going to use for all Yu Jing or just the Japanese?

Thanks. I always liked how the red goes with the white so i'll probably use it for all my future yu jing. Too bad i did not know after i bought the colors that red and white are problematic.

Anyway...I like mostof the models so i'm not limiting to just jsa.
I think of my yu jing group as being much more tolerant and solidary with the japanese so they will be all red and white :-D.

Very good job on a great model. look forward to seeing more!

The colors and snow base brings a funny thought to my mind, Santa Clauses north pole fortress being defended by sci-fi samurai warriors

Thanks for the comments!
Some guys on the Infinity forums had the same impression, that it reminds them of Santa ).

Thanks medusa. I didn't even think of camouflage when i thought about the color scheme...they would be sitting ducks for anybody looking in the general direction of them .
