Abaddon on the base...

I like the overall kitbash and the paintjob is pretty well done, I just feel that the pose could be a lot better. Abbadon looks like he is blundering around, looking at the ground like he dropped his pen and can't find it.

Thanks mate, I think his pose is a bit limited as well but when you put him in front of a marine etc It looks like he is about to jiv them one lol

Its pretty cool, love the base but i just dont see what is better about this one compared to the original sculpt. However its your model and its your choice, and its still pretty cool!

I like to original sculpt just wan't to make my own.

I'd like to see a marine or guardsman being ripped in half by his claw - just to give him something to look at. But definitely a very good model.

I voted 'well painted.' The detail is lost by the lack of light in the photo. Nice work on the model at any rate

Great paint job and a great conversion. I especially love Drach'nyen.

I kit bashed my own Abaddon and he is quite similar to yours. Although I gave him a cloak and the loin chain, it just seemed to bulk him out a little more.

I want to like it but I just can't. I think the pose is a bit...wierd, the claw and sword aren't just enough for me either. The use of the Bloodletter sword is nice but just doesn't work for me. It looks too spindly. I don't like the Drachn'yen in the GW model but I must say the one thing it does have is the bulk and ornate quality that Hellblade lacks.

The armour is well painted but the lighting makes it hard to see

For me what really spoils it is his head. Now, I have absolutely no problem with dark or black skin but the jet black skin against the black armour doesn't work for me, and the black hair, black topknot banding and, just overall the head isn't working IMO.

And just me being picky now, I feel he just doesn't have the same bulk that the GW sculpt has, which I feel Abbadon needs. He REQUIRES that imposing stature, both for the feel of Warmaster of Chaos and as a fluffbit. He was always noted as being almost too big for TDA.
That said, the base is very nice and well done.

This is Abbadon were takling about, so thats probably exactly what he is doing. And wondering how he will pick it up with no arms.

Paintworks pretty awesome, but the posing needs to be changed in my opinion
