Hey L.B once your Purge are finished do you have any plans for the future like, another army or something.

I plan to play with the army for a couple months then sell it and I'm thinking I'll jump on the cadian bandwagon.

I don't want to keep any army too long and also train myself to paint all the armies at a high standard. After cadians I'll probably try green skins.

Cool can't wait my first army was greenskins . I think I've still got the models, so I should get round to re painting them at sometime.

@99MDeery - Thanx for the advice. It is much appreciated. I lack the luxury of having someone to brainstorm with when I have crazy ideas and this helps.

The defiler is sitting outside on time-out lol. I tore the grinder out and made fleshy folds and where the grinder once was is a nondescript hole. I thought of making a head about where the hole is like you said and just make his muscle continue down his back. But I think the mistake was making him without a plan. I'll mess with him later but I just need to paint for a bit so I don't lose my control.

Ah I find the best things happen when you don't have a plan, 90% of my color schemes are made up on the spot i rarely like using the standard color schemes in the army books at the best of times, still i can understand why you say that when taking on such a huge build. Still, g'luck with him, i'm looking forward to what your working on next with this army, its shaping up very nicely.

Well always feel free to send me a PM, you never know we could build a trans-Atlantic painting alliance

I'm having a bad day with paint mixes. I think it was because I kept getting distracted by the phone, IM, friends and every time I came back to lay down some paint it would go on weird.

SIGH got 3 hours on this banner just blending the grey/white and gold areas.. ARRRGGGG!

I'll figure it out

The banner looks good to me, and I'd say it's 3hrs well spent. What are your main concerns with it? Perhaps it looks different in real life than in the photos?

I've just had a look at your videos on Youtube. Nice! One suggestion though - it might help to have close-up photos of the painted areas at the end of the video, to really see the feects that you've created.

Just my thoughts....

You can see everything that bothers me in the picture, mostly it's the rough transitions between colors where the arrows are pointing.

@Inyoka - good idea on snapping a picture of the finished mini for the end. I can take pictures and place on the video thread for dakka dwellers

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.

Very nice work as always Les. With regards to the colour transitions on the flag, they honestly look fine. They are only harsh if you pay particular attention to them. I often find that when I've been working closely on something for ages, I can't really 'see' it any more. The banner looks great. I'd be happy to receive a comission like that! What's next?

Fantastic work as always LB, looks like you sorted out your banner problems. That unit has come out brilliantly.

Thanks for the comments guys!

@ Malika2 - How I did it? I posted the color guide on the last page for Bloodthirster. The Valkyrie is turned out to be my favorite.

As for what's next, I stated that this was my last commission until I finish my army. I'm holding true to this and I'll be working on my Chaos "the purge" and VIDEO tutorials. I wont get sidetracked painting other things.

from here till finished you will only see CHAOS!

Which I will thank you for again L.B and just as a wild guess, the camo on the Valk looks like Rotting Flesh.

So I delivered the commission and collected the payment. They no longer carry Adikolor Paint in the store so I worked a deal with the last commission to get the paint rack (holds eye dropper bottles yay! More storage for my growing paint reserves). Oh and all the paint still on it

Lots of praise and "how long have you been painting?" spent a good 4 hours at the store chatting. Was fun. Already have a waiting list of commission for when the chaos are done lol.
