Mr PDH.. I have a question - I have some greenstuff, a sculpting tool, a bunch of bits from flagellants, ghouls, cadians, catachans and zombies.... Now where's the part where my mini's get as awesome as yours?

A proper question though - I literally have a bunch of this stuff and want to make a necromunda gang out of them. Whats your suggestion for sculpting hands? do you know of any tutorials? or is your greenstuffing skillz a natural gift?

Don't bother with the GW zombie kit buy their ghouls instead with the Mantic Zombies and Ghouls to provide more and nicer bodies.

monkeytroll - I know I know. But in her defence it doesn't have subtitles, making it quite difficult for her to watch, and she does think John Thaw has it...whatever that means?!

Björn you can tell Almost Mrs Björn that I am very much in love with Abi....despite certain comments that may make one think the contrary. By Wednesday I'll be pining for her (just don't tell Abi because she will tease me)

It is just such a treat to be able to do what I want and watch what I want on TV (there is a common myth that men have control of the remote control). Bachelor time is just a much needed treat.

I've already assured her, that it's not about the depth of one's feelings to enjoy some time alone. She then asked me if I would enjoy not seeing her until after christmas, which I denied since I don't have any desire to become homeless and because it's the truth, but everybody needs some sweet sweet silent private time every now and then. I'll have my share of it inbetween holidays, because I don't have to work, while she does...
Btw. I DO have the power over the remote control, but she tells me which program to turn on. I'm just the button monkey, because she always changes the channel when she wants to turn up the volume etc.

I simply saw a chance to use one of my few cockney expressions (which is fun) and thought it fitting, since we were talking about winning and chicken. Neither "oriental" nor " platter o' meat" could have been applied here and that's pretty much everything else I can think of right now.

Since you have no real choice over what is on you may as well give your fingers a rest and give her the remote control. It will mean your fingers will be fresher for hobby based activity.

Talking about fresh fingers, I had some fresh ideas. You might be interested to hear that I decided what to do with the fatso aka nurgle lord.
I was slightly demotivated by your brute and migs' whatever it was, because those were very evocative conversions and they showed how the base model could be turned into a warrior-type henchman and I really didn't want to go that way too. So I had the feeling I need to come up with something else and I eventually stumbled across some concept art that gave me the inspiration to do something completely different with him. Still inquisition but not a warrior at all, I'll turn him into a (probably unarmed) archivist. It's going to be the blanchian way of bizarre (I hope).

oooo Nugle Lord conversions are things I'm always interested in seeing. An archivist is something I am having trouble imagining, what head have you in mind....or will that ruin the surprise? So after you've painted "you know who" I insist you start on this project! I'm sure it will look ace if it is blanchian. This months White Dwarf has a Blanchitsu with some beautifully inspiring models by a Julian Bayliss (I'm getting deja-vu have I mentioned this already?) Julian Bayliss's Vampire Counts are worth a look or three.

Oh and have you seen the daemon host Jakob has started? WOW! totally not what I was expecting from the nurgle lord.

those are an awsome way to portray a daemonic host, its quite lovely compared to all the red and horns, or green and flies!

Ooo fancy! No, I didn't know Jakob's project yet, nice. And he's using one feature I meant to set my conversion apart from all the others, but that's alright, it's still going to be something else.
I'm not telling anything yet, you'll have to wait. In my mind he is at least half way done already.

Baiyuan - I thought I'd be wasting my time asking about which head you were planning on using. Oh well glad to see you're ambitious as ever...half way done haha to me that stage is when the model is built and ready for painting.

The Crusader is coming along quite nicely but not quickly enough at the moment. I hope to get him to the stage of being very almost finished before Christmas now. I didn't get very much done yesterday as I went to see Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows.

Not bad but the first one was so much better. This time round it felt like they were trying too hard. I also think they should have saved Moriarty for a third film (since films always come in trilogies these days).

The highlight was Stephen Fry playing Holmes' bother Mycroft. Or maybe, Kelly Reilly, Watson's wife who is rather attractive, and the way she interacts with Holmes.

What you said about from which point on you start thinking it's half done, unmasks one of my old bad habits. There was a time when for me a project was done when primed. I really don't see it that way anymore, I was just talking about the conversion status, not the whole project, but it's still hard for me not to lose momentum after priming sometimes.

Ok, but just because it's you: I didn't know which head to use until this morning, I had some options in mind before, but now I'm set. I'm using the head of an (as it turns out) old havoc. I could only find one very gakky picture of him on cmon, so the teasing is not intentional this time.

I've got to that special point of painting the Crusader...wasn't convinced by the colour scheme and then It suddenly came together and I like the look of him, It was adding the red to the purity seals that did it.

I'm confused, I don't see any paint on him...

That is just a teaser....sorry. I want him done by Christmas....meaning I have to finish him tonight... I doubt I'll get him finished though.

The Jrn fatty is lovely. Nearly picked up the big guy myself , a few weeks back but opted for the finecast slyth for the liilitu cult instead. dont get to open it for a few days yet though :-(
