Figured id show you how the 1st marine is progressing. This shot looks a bit odd, but the overall effect is coming together i think! Gonna get out the brown stuff and sculpt the harder edges now, and do final details. Then the plan is to cast/press mould this blank base set, and sculpt them into different armour marks.

Just finished cleaning my airbrush, and am about to go to bed. Fingers crossed it works when i start it up again. Will not have any updates tomorrow as it is friday, therefore i will be drunk.

I hate it when the nozzle clogs overnight..

Its a pain. Im hoping its fixed, because the paint wouldnt atomise. Air would go through but nothing else. I soaked everything bar the main body (so things like the valve, cup, needle nozzle etc) in vallejo cleaner, so fingers crossed.

Yep, That's a clog in the nozzle!.....you have no choice but to tear it all the way down at this point....I know you've been avoiding it, but you've gotta

Be careful, the nozzle is tiiiny, DO NOT drop it in the trashcan!! Don't over tighten it either when you put it back in, and of course make sure you don't bend the tip of the needle.

just soaking wont unclog it... need those airbrush cleaner tools, as I've discovered.

I have stripped it a far down as is actually possible before, and the nozzles didnt look to have any obstructions. Ill give it a whirl this evening.

It may just be that its kicked the bucket, which would be annoying given that i bought it in feb. Although tbf it was only a fairly cheap veda off ebay.

He is looking suitably huge. Nice to see you got around to true scale , the mechanicus dudes look viscous ..

Haha thanks neil. The true scaling has been on my to do list for a while now, its gratifying to finally make a start.

Also, i believe thats the first ever time ive had one of my minis described as 'viscous' before. Not sure if thats a good quality for a permanent model to have though!

I saw it on the Danish release day (the 26th of April) in 3D, which I normally don't care much for, but the 3D actually worked pretty damn well I can only encourage everyone to go see it in cinema, as it is absolutely worth it and one of the best movies I've seen and certainly the best superhero movie to date

our release is... today, so i might see it this week or next, but not in 3D, as.. well im blind in one eye

And Rogue Wolves, I'm sure it's just as great in 2D The movie really is so action packed, and really really funny as well, Robert Downey Jr. really shines as Stark here, the best performance of the 3 movies and the other 2 are sublime so you're in for a Stark treat in this one

Besides that, Mark Ruffalo has delivered the single best Bruce Banner performance ever imo, he really does the character justice and Hulk is just awesome in The Avengers

Although the whole Marvel rendition of Thor is miles from the original mythology (I'm Danish, we learn a lot about vikings and Norse mythology in school as it's our national heritage) but from a superhero universe point of view the movie version is actually really great and they made it fit nicely with the rest of the Marvel universe and still keep some of the actual mythology there And Chris Hemsworth do actually look like he could easily be from Denmark, Norway or Sweden :p
