Has anyone seen any comparison shots with other figures of the "Modern" range from other companies for added zombie fighting goodness?

Specificly with figures from LNOE, Hasslefree, and other ranges of zombies out on the market? There are quite a few "Hero/ Zombified Hero" minis out there, and I for one wouldn't mind picking up Shawn of the Dead, or the Scoobie Gang to add in to my zombie table.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

I was thinking of using the zeds myself for 7OMBIE TV, they look 28mm-ish to me.

Wow, you'd think with almost $800k they could have hired a proofreader.

Snap dood, some of the Heroes might be a little out of place for the 80's, the zeds should fit right in there.

The translation from French to smartass can be a little tricky.

In all seriousness though, I'll wait for my hard copy for a read through and hope that whatever faults you have found have been sorted for the print version. But if nit, I reed aloot of FudgeWuld boks so are well used 2 tippos. (sic)

Having just read the latest designer notes, I notice two things:

- There are a few skills not in the rulebook ("Low Profile" and "Webbed").
- Claudia's not a soldier. I liked her better as a soldier or reservist than as a ganger with daddy issues.

Three if you count "Two guys and Chaz in a car could be funny" (One drives into a mob and switches seats, Chaz turns into a human blender, the third switches to the driver's seat and drives away).

That's why I said "hire a proofreader". I don't expect everyone to be good at English. I do expect (in vain most of the time) people to take some pride in their work. I know if I was trying to publish something in French I'd make darn sure to hire someone fluent in French to proofread my work. Zpocalpyse handled this for free by releasing pre-pub versions to their backers and having them crowdsource the proofreading.

My understanding is that the PDF is the print version, as the games are already boxed and on the boat, but I guess there's still room for a pleasant surprise.

At least there were no straight up spelling errors that I saw, unlike the 6th BRB. Spellcheck is hard!

Looking at the rules, I think an appropriate house rule people might want to consider is that a car that moves in a zone with at least one zombie in it runs over everybody in it. When you've got a two lane street plus sidewalks to work with, it's a bit ridiculous that simply stopping to pick someone up has a 50-50 chance of running them over.

LOL. I'll have to check into that myself.

I honestly downloaded it and haven't more than skimmed it. I prefer to read the actual book and learn to play as I go along.

I got a reply back from Guillotine Games, and they say the "Low Profile" and "Webbed" skills are part of the expansion. We'll find out what they do "in a few months".

They also responded to my suggestion of putting in a few 2*3 spacer tiles that would turn a one zone wide street into a two zone wide highway.

They thanked me and said they'd speak with their production manager.

To elaborate on how I thought it would work, the current tiles have a sidewalk and then a single lane as a single 1*1 subtile. Put two together and you have two sidewalks and two lanes as a single 2*1 zone. My suggestion would add another two lanes and a median strip to the middle.

Based on the huge number of zombie movies which have horrid drivers maybe the 50% chance of running over other survivors is apt?

Most the time it's not like they are making a leisurely drive down a country road, typically they are flooring it on streets littered with bodies ruined cars and lots of obstacles all while being in combat, distracted by zombies, sleep deprivation and adreneline impairment. Makes plenty of sense to me how they might run over friendly models.

Right it's now August and I have now rewatched every movies I can, read all the books I have and have now developed quite the hunger for all things zombie.

So all I wanna know is: Where's ma bloody Zombiecide!

I swear if that ship still hasn't docked I’m gonna go berserk!

Seriously I'm getting the shakes whether this is excitement or the onset of a desire for braaaiiiiins I can not be sure.

What moi........Impatient?

I haven't heard any updates from CMON about the early delivery, but I did hear that ZPocalypse was being pushed back from October to early Q1 of next year. It makes me really happy I supported Zombicide. They were ready to print when they did the kickstarter, so they are able to keep to their promised schedule.

You only live two towns away from me - I should have saved $100 and just invited myself over to your gaming group!

I do hope we get the shipping announcement soon though...

Project Update #59: Zombicide is shipping!

Posted by CoolMiniOrNot

Yes folks, the first waves of games are going out and will be shipping all August.

Unfortunately, the T-shirts were stuck in customs for over 2 weeks so we decided to pull the trigger and start shipping without them for US backers; we figured you'd rather have the games early than wait for customs to decide to release the Ts. For US backers, your Ts will ship together with shipment 2.

US shipments are going out via Fedex Smartpost fulfilled by USPS, or via USPS itself for APO addresses. You will receive tracking numbers this week after all shipments are loaded and away.

Important: If you still have not logged into the CKPM AND you asked for more items in the survey than you actually pledged for, your pledge won't ship until you login to the CKPM and give us instructions one way or another (i.e. pay the difference or reduce the items you'd like).

For international backers, your pledges will ship after Gencon with the T-shirts by the end of August.

So.... since everything is a little early, perhaps we could interest you in taking a look at the Relic Knights Kickstarter that we just launched? There are some early bird slots which are being snapped up fast!

Well thats disappointing, they could have at least waited until absolutely everything was ready instead of letting one country get the game a few solid weeks in advance.

Personally i'd rather they just ship my game without the shirt, not to sound ungrateful but i never actually wanted the shirt to begin with. At least someone else might be able to enjoy the shirt when i donate it to the local vinnies.

Seriously ?

They promised us September, and everyone's product will be shipped by the end of August.

I didn't complain at all about CMON shipping ahead of schedule, I was expressing my disappointment that America could be getting the game almost a month in advance. (factoring in 8-14 days for ROW postage.)

As someone who is buying the game solely for the miniatures, my biggest fear is that the overall quality of the models doesn't live up to my expectations. And having to wait an additional 30+ days knowing that i spent my hard earned money on something i won't enjoy would just be absolute hell for me.

After seeing the zombicide test shots i lost most of my buyers anxiety, but the idea that the quality might still be horrible is a worried thought that's constantly running through my mind.

Well, on the bright side it gives me more time to scrounge together cash for the inevitable customs bill I'm bound to get from this shipment. :(

I'm really hoping that customs don't get to my package(s). $25 shipping is already tax enough

It's going to be a big box made up of two big boxes, that's more than enough reason for customs to intercept and inspect around here. Probably too much to ask for CMON to put a good reason on the box as to not inspect it.

Not sure why all the sour grapes...

This was always going to ship from some country.

Call it - Country (X).

The citizens of Country (X) where obviously going to receive it earlier than anyone else.

Anyway... glad to see that citizens of all countries will soon be getting the game in hand!
